I became a member of WGT in May 2013 and was invited to join the Great Lakes Gamblers CC in mid June. At first I was a little scared when I joined the club, playing with guys I didn't know and afraid of embarrassing myself. Well, all of those feelings I had were way overblown, I could not have found a better bunch of guys to play golf with. The members welcomed me into the club and helped mentor me with my game.
I have enjoyed many hours of play with members like, Goofer26, Turfsand, Craigroger, Ahwoody55 and Jan64 just to name a few. We play skins, alt. shot, blitz, match and stroke play.
The club has lots of both free and pay tournaments.
So if you are looking to join a country club, look no further. This is a great country club and I am proud to be a member. Just message Dave (turfsand) and he will sign you up. The only thing the club will ask of you, is to be an active member. Do that and you will have wonderful time plus get to meet a great group of guys to play golf with.
