All of us have the opportunity to create a more real life experience by not using the best irons or GB's. I don't want the R11 irons or the Nike GB's just for that reason. I can't compete with the lowest scorers but it's my decision to have greater reality over sublime scores. I've seen lots a members bring up the "equipment is too good" call but haven't seen a single one of them trade in their R11's and Nikes.

Why would I? One of my aims with this game is to break even on earnings versus balls and I can't do that if I don't use the top equipment. The game dictates that you spend money to make money.

With that equipment I can sometimes compete with the lowest scorers but I'm also more than happy to play practice rounds with starter clubs, low level equipment etc.

    +1   well said

Since i could not play before gift cards were removed,,, its nice to not have to pay for balls.

I am one of those more average players paying my own way.  In fact I recently had the brilliant idea of changing from the level 81 Nike to the 61.  Having burned two sleeves trying to get it right I am in to a two month or more pay back LOL.  Those long irons doing it drat it - hence my recent x2 28s in the current unlimited weekly I am using to test my findings LOL.

Slightly by the by but I did recently delve in to the land of RGs to see what all the fuss was about.  Now I was hardly setting the world alight, but I was not completely drowning either.  I even jagged a couple of lucky Sunday wins in the 50 credit ones - last of the high rollers I know:)

OK to the exact point.  If you are going to have RGs then they should be a game of skill or call them a lucky dip.  If one person has 8 holes out of 9 par 5 holes in a strong head wind and the next vice-versa it's lucky dip simple as.  IMHO they might get a few more turn up to try their skills out rather than playing crap shoot for those that like lucky dip.  If I fancy the occasional heavy wind RG I would like to think I am testing my skill, not dice rolling which for me is zero fun.  Now nothing is perfect, but whacko random winds for each player in a given comp does not work out at all in the end.  It's just nuts.

LOL..... yeah you got that right,,, it just nuts.

But...... that is what we are dealing with. Shame but very true.  :))

First off gerald you responded as I deleted the post moving it to correct thread...No matter all sorted LOL

Many also just wana see what they can score.  I am sure many would agree with carving everything back if it were the same for all but it is not. Latter is also not realistic.

Everyone has different expectations and nothing stopping people just using the L59 G20s complete set and Cally 33.  Competing against others who can play with that stuff in a RG would be unusual.

    Hi

Maybe you don't think the game is hard enough at present, but I personaly think

it is a demanding game. Just played Kiawah 18 holes and almost all my 2 shots to pin

was 160-190 yard. Then you have 2 long par 3 holes, 231 and 245. And on top of that

you have the tricky greens on Kiawah....

And finally you have the pressure of knowing if you make 1 or 2 mistakes you are out

    of the top 5.

That is for me hard enough...

Or playing in high winds also demanding.

You are talking making birdie in every hole. What i am saying is best score to win should be 61. Not 50 or 54. Its not real golf. Game should have more tricks and players has to figure out. Also it should be random occurance , so people know this wind i hit this much i will be within feet of hole.

    Alex...I hear ya...but...

If WGT made it so the best players here could only shoot a 61...the rest of those players who had been shooting 61's..would now be shooting 66's...

You cannot make it more difficult for one, with affecting the others:)

You're still asking the company to give up a lot of revenue. A higher shot count means longer games and less in tournament entry and green fees. More difficult shots mean longer shot preparation times and fewer holes played. Longer playing times mean more people will leave the game as they decide the game is too tough (many new people to this site already do) or the time to play a round is simply too long. Those people will find some other game site (not necessarily a golf site) to spend their limited time and money at.

WGT is intended to be a video game, not real golf. People are going to score better in this game than they do in real life. It's the same with any game for score.

There needs to be balance. Revenue vs More people playing the game.

You have to make tougher only for top tier. Not for all.  At present Top tier had it easy with 287 yard driver and r11 iron and nike 5 dot ball , instead of friggin tougher. It basically kills the purpose of growth. There is nothing to achieve in this game.

You make it easy for beginner to have birdie , eagle.. So they continue to play. This game concept of fun is reversed. Starters have more difficulty and Better (money spenders) players have it easy. i think there need to be skill players only have fun and every one use same clubs level.

No use to introduce new tier after TL. below 50 score is useless.. it just makes it ridicolous.

Thats why we need HARDCORE (same clubs for all but ball can be different so wgt make money)  level. New setup. New average system.

Whats flawed is the pro who's leading the pro tier 3 click cabo tournament who has only been a member a month or 2 and suddenly scores 55's as soon as HE starts playing ready go's is still here playing this game.  It seems Its o.k to cheat nearly $200 in a month
