We're all interested in shooting low scores. LOL Most days we can't do it.
If you post back to back 29's you're doing very well indeed.
As a pretty good legend; I'll tell you about my scores. 2,000+ ranked rounds - no cheating -
best 9 is still 27 (X4 all on Beth 9), best 18 in normal conditions 60 (various times, various courses). Best 18 in easy conditions (special WGT tournaments) 54 Beth, 58 Kia, and a few other 58s and 59s.
One eye opening score in three years (and that is lttle wind off easy tees).
Most legends and a lot of TLs will have similar experiences. Maybe a few 26s and 57s in their mix up).
You have two ways to match those top scores.
Play till your eyes and mouse hand bleed. I mean 20+ rounds a day, every day alone. Most often restarting when you've not got a birdie. Some restart when they haven't eagled a certain hole. Takes notes on every hole, clubs/wind/where to put the approach shot on each green. Have a top computer with no meter glitches, have the best balls and clubs for your game. Have various club sets in your bag - different ones for different courses. Get close to ding on every shot - try playing 9 hole CTTHs and see how often you can hit 9 good approaches (always one hole that screws you up).
Or use cheat software.
The first is what is needed to break into the elite. Most of us don't have the time or patience to put that work in. And even then we probably wouldn't be good enough - some people are just better.
It's just like those people who can master a pinball machine or clock Defender. You have to accept you are not one of them.
