Allow finalize round with "last ball of a kind" rather than removing it directly mid game

  +1 Zio, this gives us the freedom to decide on the amount by the price of the balls.

  As to the OP, this

  describes the situation perfectly: Thou shalt not have any options available! Law 1 of WGT has been weakened by the "Mulligan" option of late, but only in practice play.

  "No options!" stands strong in regular play!

  There would always be people who knew their last ball of a certain type was on it's last couple of hits and started an 18 hole round with it.  They'd basically get a free round.

  And as has already been asked, what happens when this ball goes into water or OOB?

  If WGT make any change to the one ball regulation it should be to boot you off the course when you run out of the type of ball you started the round with.  That way they'd be adhering to the rule strictly and there'd be no need for discussion.

  IMHO they don't use the one ball rule, and Chad did not mention it while on the subject in last year's video chat. From his indications I concluded that "no options for players" is the inherent reason.

  As soon as you get down to your last ball you get the last ball warning. Simply click on it and buy balls. You then have 4 balls of that type. And even if you don't buy them then, if you see that the ball might not last the round, you can go to the pro shop from the menu and buy  balls that way.
