Or you can add this line to your Ad Blocking Rules custom filter in Adblock Plus:

    ##*#golfTicker

Which is the element OBR was talking about.

This will help any Linux users that don't have access to Element Hiding Helper in their repos.

I thought I had it sussed when I added a certain URL to my anti banner software and got this as a result....

....but then I scrolled down to find this....

....so I'm not quite there yet, but you guys seem to be finding good solutions.

3 clicks of AdBlock (not AdBlock+)  rendered the Golf Channel ad invisible this end.

    1. Click the AdBlock icon in top right hand corner.

    2. Click 'Block an ad on this page'

    3. Click on the unwanted ad.

    Done.

    Using Chrome here.

AdBlock+  is a different entity altogether from AdBlock and was originally designed for Firefox.

There are known issues when using AdBlock+ in Chrome. Google for more info if required.

You rule, I added this line to the maxthon 4.2 noAds extension, under perferances CSS filters, POW the ticker is GONE.  I couldn't get it to go any other way. Thanx.

It's 3 clicks after the software is downloaded and installed and set up.  Not even close to 3 clicks.  Why should I have to download and install possible virus infected software to play this game.  I am fine without it and don't want it.  If I want toolbars on my page, I will put them there myself.  Who the hell does WGT think they are?

With all the bugs that aren't fixed, no new courses, tournaments that the same 2% win and place all the time, why should I continue to play this game?  And now toolbars that cant be turned off.

I frequently watch replays of the golf tournaments and having the leaderboard on the screen gives away who is leading and wins.  For me this is EXTREMELY annoying.

    WHY BOTHER?

Nice one.  But as was mentioned above, I too dont like installing 3rd part software unless i know Its reputable so why WGT doesn't offer us a x to turn it off is disrespectful. Another instance where we have to jump through hoops just to play or browse this site.
