I really hope you reconsider your decision Michael, although I understand the reasoning behind it.

The Oddball Country Club currently have 14 slots available so can accommodate a chunk of your members.

I'd rather see them stay in your CC though, whether under your leadership or not.

    Best wishes

    Kelly

    Dubfore,

    One for you to consider

You are personally, and understandably, upset to uncover a cheater/cheaters (long-standing) in your CC. However, why should you, or your honest members suffer for this. Why don't you remove those you suspect of cheating and move on.

Also, if you decide not to continue with your CC, it would be nice if you could personally message us the names of your suspect cheaters, so we don't have them joining our CCs.

    Hello Peter,

I don't know if we have any cheaters in our club, but I don't have the time or the patience to find out. What I have found out in the last few days about  WGT and cheaters has left a very sour taste.

I'm closing the club on the `16th if someone doesn't want to take it over. I may keep my account open.

    Quote from a member here:

".......i've learned over the past year/year and a half, that the rest of the website is RIFE with cheaters (using meter slowdown software). playing in alt shot matches and the like have taught me that there is a large number of people using it, and i have been offered it almost a dozen times already.......

Me and Trev (100plus) we closed the game for the 4th round with a draw. I enjoyed it, it was a good game even if the final score could be misleading.

We have eaten both of the easy points but this is also part of the game.

Another gentleman met, I love this tournament.

    Cheers,
    David.

    Michael.

In these years, I can assure you that I have had the pleasure and misfortune to meet a lot of players but unfortunately we are all, or almost, hidden by a nickname. When you realize that a discussion on the forum is left on the sidelines or even closed try to imagine it in reverse: You are WGT and someone makes it public that there are cheaters and cheat engines. If you were WGT would you try to make it less obvious that this platform has a basic problem, or rather two adding multi accounters

I do not condone WGT but I think that not talking about it publicly will help them in trying to find the one and the other, cheaters cheat engines. We need the right information and evidence, only those you can try to switch over to this problem or at least to pretend it does not exist.

You've found a solution: this tournament. I think it's one of the best I've ever attended outside of the officials, no pressure, relaxed and with dudes whom you would you go to eat sausage and beer.

Reconsider your decision and becomes more suspicious, is never wrong.

    With respect.

    David.

I like this comment... except it's sausage and bourbon for me.....lol

Because this is an Internet based game, there will always be people trying to cheat the system.  We can't do anything thing about it.  Ok we can always try and find the cheats and get rid of em, but they can just come back with a different name.

I don't think we should worry and just carry on as we do, playing this comp having heaps of fun playing with/against people we all enjoy.

Just a little tip for everybody....

We all get nerves playing against people we think are heaps better than us.   This can be your worse mistake, because your trigger finger starts to tighten up causing all sorts of probs.  Just try and relax and play your own game...  if you don't win the match ...  then the bonus points kick in if you have a good round.

On any given day, we can beat anybody.   Just go out and have fun :)

    -Roger

We've slowed down to a halt golfers. No round 5 matches played yet?

Roger and Peter, waiting on your match to complete round 4.  Not Peter again is it? He'll have to be sanctioned, he can have my putter!

Frankly, the personal melo-drama that has overwhelmed this thread and over shadowed the tournament has really killed all momentum.  Too much focus on personal issues.

I think you're gettin a little too serious Tucker.  I don't see anything personal melodramatic in what your copied and pasted.

Are you opting out of the league?
