  Maybe it is an option to make a tap in button when your 1 foot or closer to te hole.Makes the play go a little faster, and missing from 1 foot is almost impossible.....

  I'm guessing the op does not play at Oakmont much. JB     Edit: has never played Oakmont, your request is denied.

  Schreut, I had the same idea back in January of 2009... I called it a "Gimmie".  When I asked the same question you have asked, in this thread, I received this answer from WGT:

  Hi Snaike, thanks for the suggestion. At the moment, this is not something we would consider doing. We think "gimmies" tend to take some measure of realism out of the game, and given the number of higher priority items on our development list, it is not something we plan to consider.

  It seems nothing has changed.

  prior to the powers giving us a "gimme" button I for one would like to see "throw putter towards closest water" button.  Complete with the visual of course.
