Tried them (level 85)- 3 iron stops dead at 220- 4 iron at 205 (using full backspin with Nike balls). hole in 1 on KIA #5 with 3 iron- 99% f/b @ 218 yds (replay on my profile). With 4 dots spin ball is like R-11's minus a few yards on long irons -but much easier to ding. No issues with 8 iron tho- f/b 145 every time (ding), unlike R-11's lol

    SKC:

Are those numbers from the tee box? As it seems they fly well from the tee, but I am not getting those types of numbers from the fairways with Nike's or Callys. They seem to carry forever off the tee box, but not anywhere near the carry off the fw. And, any slight off ding they seem to lose yardage from the fairways.

    Thanks,

    Doc

Are they good enough for me to trade my rocketbladez for a set as it's gonna be ages before I get to the R11's?

Yes, I hit same from fairways- 220 yd approach KIA #2 to tap in eagle on 3 iron, for instance. They are a definite upgrade from Bladez- and remember - I have put the R11's in the garage for now (after using them forever) because they so often 'zoom thru thru hitting area'- all top irons can lose significant yardage on mishits, most noticeable R11 6 iron- slight miscue loses about 12 yards.

I did and don't regret it one bit. Of course, your mileage may very as this is my opinion.

In fact, I turned L90 about a week or two before the WGT released the Nikes and just couldn't pull the trigger on the R11's and their faster meter. I'm glad I waited.

So far the Nikes are performing far past my expectations; accurate and forgiving. Even with the "no feel" Tour SD balls these irons are very manageable.

Another plus is the meter speed matches my Cally X Hot driver and G20 3 Wood. The 15 yd spacing down to the PW is another major plus.

It looks like you got your answer from the last few posts. I still don't like the long irons from the fw's - I shot better with my Bladez than I do these clubs..BUT..I think I just don't have them tuned in yet I am guessing.

If guys are saying they are as good or better than the R11s..and they have played the R11s than it would probably be worth upgrading.

Yeah cheers guys....I went and got em, my main concern was I had to sell my bladez to be able to afford em, but  definitely  no regrets.

The meter is better, spin is better, forgiveness is better.....everything is better.

NO one is saying these are "better" than the R11's- if you can 'ding' the R11's- they are very good sticks- but the 8 and 6 irons have always been a bit unpredictable. And the meter is faaast. With those, u can so easily hit late that their advantages can go out the window.

These Nike irons - for those not at Level 97- are an excellent compromise of distance, stopping power (with Nike balls) and a friendly meter- with R11 precision. As someone said, think G20's on steroids- same meter- more distance- more spin- more forgiveness.
