    chrisironsbones:

Don't every one rush out and buy these thinking they're going to make R11's obsolete. WRONG!  They're the R11's RE-BRANDED.

That is exactly what i was thinking Chris. The reason i have not bought them.

Also i have played matches with players that have the new irons. I don't see them hitting any shots that i could not hit with my R11s.

Not to mention they look great...lol.  Look like starter irons to me....no??

Release what is suppose to be the best irons in this game..... and they look like that??

I said in another thread... i have not bought the high level putter.... yet my putting stats keep getting better and better..... go figure that one.

Until i see something noticeable i will be sticking with my R11s,, i'm not forking out $40 for nothing. I'm not sitting on a mountain of credits,, and 4000 credits would be a nice chunk to shell out.

    I'll just watch and wait....lol.

I was gifted them yesterday, have played a couple of rounds with them. I just need to learn the advantage they offer. I have had some surprising shots and some that were very surprising shots. I will let ya all know after a few more rounds. Regardless the gift is very much appreciated and I will learn how to use them. I think my computer is messed up because I have not seen any difference in meter speed.

    TopShelf2010:
Most of us know that the mental side of the game is a key factor.

    Never a truer word spoken...

    TopShelf2010:
With that being said, regarding the new Nike Irons being the Taylormade Irons "rebranded", if the purchase of the new Nikes helps your mental game, then so be it. I for one have found them to be very nice. With the slightly slower meter than the R11's, I have enjoyed finally being able to ding the meter on the 3 Iron.

Though with that ^^ being said, most of us know we could ding R9's with 'rocks' when we are ON IT..

Which leads us back to it being all in the mind and atm my mind is firmly in the " I don't have much problem dinging any iron, 3 or otherwise" ( coming from a Burner / Cally Z background ) before the R11's..

Horses for courses as usual here but harking back to my previous post in this thread...

CIB has a point ( for once )

A few Jones' have reverted back after the initial test..

I've noticed a slower meter, better stopping power with the long irons, and a PW that'll back up if you want...have to say I like 'em and recommend 'em if you can stand the price.

If you've got younger reflexes, there's no harm at all in sticking with the R11 irons...you won't see a huge difference with the Nike irons...but for an old fart like meself, they're just what the doctor ordered.

Sure they are.....but then again, I remember the TM 2.0's and then the R11's used to be every bit as precise as these Nikes until they got messed with.....just as these Nikes will in 6 months down the road when the next new set is on the horizon.

Until then, just enjoy them while you can :)

Not even a 'nod' to the 'horses for courses' crowd I see...?

But thank you for that indepth appraisal and well thought out logic....Golden boy !

You'll forgive me if my thumb and forefinger are engaged in a sodium chloride battle regarding your words !
