First of all, my thanks to everyone that has tried to help so far. It gives me hope for the game and the community. I know that I can not be the only person with this problem and that someone out there has found the proper fix.

    Second, to Juggss6 and SwingingRoofer

my mind was somewhere else when I said that I had a laptop with Win95. That is really old. The laptop I am on right now has WinXP. Not Win95. And YES I will have to get another laptop early next year when Windows stops supporting WinXP. But for now it is still a good workhorse. My wife's laptop is the Dell with Win7 on it and is connected to the big screen which makes it way more fun playing games. But it is not working with the WGT problem.

During this process of trying to resolve this problem, I discovered that there was a malware on her laptop that came from Conduit and was hijacking her search engine. I spent a good portion of yesterday trying to get rid of it and will still be working on it this morning. Don't think that it is the cause of the WGT problem as the problem exists on both of our laptops.

    Third, to ScottHope

It was asked if I had tried to play as a guest. I had not, but just now tried and it worked perfectly. So, Scott, do you have an idea as to what that might mean?

    Fourth, to XXXPROFESSORXXX and Alosso

I have not yet tried to do anything with Java or Javascript, and I am not sure exactly what needs to be done but I will try today, but with FLASH I did uninstall and install again yesterday with no change.

Finally, I have great respect for the people of the community that go out of their way to help those in need. Alosso, I have seen this from you on many postings and appreciate your, and all other members, help in trying to fix this problem. What I find confusing is that there is no place to go to get help from the WGT techies. They should be the ones that understand the program and system platforms that it runs on and the potential problems and solutions that members may have. I know this is a "free" game, but I am also quite sure that these guys are making a ton of money just selling golf balls, not to mention all other upgrades required to enjoy the game. I know that I have spent more money on this game in the last month that I have been playing it than I have spent in the iTunes store all year. So, rather than them sitting back and letting the forum community deal with technical problems, they should be actively seeking a resolution to technical problems to instill confidence in members who will spread the word and bring more dollars into WGT. But, then again, this is just one man's opinion.

I will keep trying to get this working and with the help of you guys and others maybe I will be able to start participating in multi-player rounds soon.

Thank you all for your help so far and I will continue to let you know the status of my success or failure as time goes by.

    David

Hello David, can you play the game successfully (not as a guest but with your normal account) on any device at all?  If not, then that suggests to me (I'm not a techie by any means) that there might some corrupt data in your account at WGTs end.

I stated that earlier, but you may not have seen it. I originally found out about WGT in late October when they released a version for IPads and broadcasted this on Facebook. I signed up and have been playing, daily, on that platform. I am currently on Level 49. So, wanting to try playing with other players, which is not available on the Ipad version, I went to my laptop and tried there. I logged just like I would with my IPad but it never worked. WGTIcon said that I should be able to play across the different platforms with the same ID. I do not want to create a new ID because I would lose my equipment investment. And WGT probably would see it as multi user and ban me.

But I wonder, and probably only a techie can answer this, if one enrolls from an IPad, IPhone, etc. will they experience the same problem when trying to utilize the site with a different platform; i.e. desktop or laptop?

Isn't there someone else on here with the same problem as you?  I'm sure I've seen some posts from another person with a similar problem. I don't have time to search right now but maybe it would be worth asking them, if you can find them, whether they signed up from an Ipad/phone.

Yes, there was someone back in October who seemed to have the same problem. I only found his original posting with no help. I have replied to his and have not heard back from him yet.

The fact that I can play as a Guest leads me to believe there is something funky in my account. But no one from WGT seems to be interested in helping.

I've seen that other post, too.

Last resort might be to open a new account with WGT's consent - perhaps with your level and equipment?

Have you asked WGT directly, by mail or support form (below) or notice to a mod's wall?

Didn't realize that the Support site had help. Thought you had to utilize the Forum only. I have submitted a request to Help. Thank you for your insight. I will let you know the results.
