Attempting to play a single hole at St. Andrews #9 (WGT Community - Golf Courses - click on the golf course and select the hole option), the new WGT course notebook opened to hole number 1. With no way to scroll through the book, I'm stuck with the notebook display on hole 1 while I'm standing on the #9 tee.

I submitted this as a bug. Can anyone else confirm this bug?

    hi

I have  not heard of confirmation yet. Can you try it in another browser and see if it works?

Same here.  every hole is hole 1......I think it assumes a new course every hole via that link.  Would hardly matter sadly as it will not link those notes along with best of course notes to the "real" courses anyway.

That along with other issues being: can only look at/ edit hole actually playing (the taking / viewing of notes capability for a given hole closes after you leave the hole until playing it again) means this notebook is currently way less useful than it could (should IMO) be.

EDIT: Look, no disrespect WGT, I think it is clear this thing got rushed out for Cmas way before it was ready.  Please fix it to a suitable standard as soon as you can.

EDIT 2: If some one released a hole notes app on android that only let you make notes for a given hole whilst actually playing that hole for one; then for 2 would not even let you look at those notes again, let alone edit, until you were back physically playing that same hole again, how many note books would they sell? Star rating would be zero..Not being rude, just needs fixing guys:)

I'm not being rude either, but how about spending some time fixing some glitches and laying off the new stuff for a while.

So rather then a bunch of new stuff that does not work and heavily reported and advertised, how about the next few updates bring in something nice like being able to read the greens. Feel free to report the fixes as well.

I may be being a little selfish here, but I would much rather read after an update about say we went through all the greens on whatever and remapped the greens to make the moving dots more accurate and reliable then a bunch of new clubs that I will never obtain.

How about fixing the r11 8 iron.

How about ding is king. Give some "as advertised" precision back to us folks who just want to play and have fun, not everyone is slowing the meter and hacking the flash and some of us get rather excited to ding the odd shot now and then and then to watch the shot leap off in odd directions at odd distances can be rather annoying.

And is the spin glitch after a concede ever going to be fixed? When did that appear 2010 after an update.

I have no issue with the wind or lack thereof, but maybe give us some idea as to the strength and general direction all the time.

How about giving some thought to moving this great game away from flash, most know flash is completely hackable, luckily most do not know how, but lot's do and to have hole in 1 challenges and ready goes to name a couple in a game that can be hacked to give any shot any desired results anyone so desires is just plain crazy.  Which brings me to another peeve, jacking up the inconsistencies to make the game harder only makes it harder for honest players. I'm fairly certain honest players are the companies desire to keep around, so why drive them away? As you can see clearly over the last little while, only some peoples scores have increased and perfect scores are still being done in every RG. So who exactly is being helped and hurt, with these changes I ask? Please don't get me wrong here, these changes if implemented across the board would be great indeed, and i realize across the board is the desire, but is it the result? If it's not the result and IMHO it's not, they need to be shelved and rethought and looked at in another platform.

Maybe some of these thoughts if implemented can be just as profitable with customer satisfaction and loyalty and maybe breathe some life into ready go's and MPC games making them a true test of skill and knowledge for everyone.

Here's an idea, as an after thought, if you are stuck on flash as a platform, how about requiring only a certain browser that WGT develops, is downloaded from WGT and required for playing the game. It might stop the use of the 2008 browsers with the 2009 hacked flash that blocks the VEM. Let's put everyone on the same playing field. Simple little tests from the server can implemented to ensure compliance as well. And if it ran out of a sealed encrypted container it would be much more secure.

Just my 2 cents, I love this game, but it can use some improvements.

i entered some notes on BPB for the first hole.  I then went to Best of Famous course and looked at the first hole which is BPB first hole. The notes weren't there. I then tried to enter some notes while playing a match play game.  The notebook popped up correctly but the cursor was missing. No amount of clicking could bring it up

You can't edit what you've written?  Do we need to buy a WGT rubber (eraser for you Americans) for 500 credits too?

I salute WGT for bringing this product out, I really do.  I've never written a single note about any hole and probably never will but something like this sounds like gold for those who make notes about the best place to aim a tee shot, how the green runs and so on.  Maybe I'd even think about getting one, the price isn't that bad really.

However, you have to be able to edit what you've written.  And it would be nice to be able to open it without actually playing that hole at the time.  Maybe someone has lots of notes for all holes and just wants to spend an hour transferring them to their virtual notebook.  Not too much to ask is it?

I do agree that they really need to look at some of the long running bugs before they come out with any more new stuff though.  It does seem a bit like rubbing silicon on the tyres of a used car in the hope a potential buyer won't notice the gearbox has 1 forward and 5 reverse gears.

And Wohlmut, you can't make notes during matchplay.  Apparently WGT wanted to avoid slow play.  It seems they never thought  you might make notes while your opponent takes their shot.

Just bought this and sent a message to "contact us," so how does one ever write in the thing?

I can make it flip to hole and such but tried microsoft notebook, tried typing in it...how do I place notes in the notebook?

Looks like others are writing in it so what's the scoop? What am I doing wrong?
