I agree - Once you move to Master tier you do need new equipment to handle playing off the white tee markers, otherwise trying to lower your handicap is much more difficult. Everyone, promoted or current to that level or any level should be on a level playing field. This new system doesn't seem to be the case. So could someone please explain what tier plays off what coloured marker? Simple if you have been promoted you should be able to purchase new equipment for that new level, otherwise it's not fair. Previous players under the old system have had a clear advantage purchasing new equipment immediately.

I was a Pro at a 71.11 avg and got bumped TWO levels!! Now I'm a 71.11 Master.  A tour pro, maybe I could handle, but the Master tees are just WRONG.  Won't be playing until they fix this.  Or maybe I need a cheat program.... Just kidding - I don't want to cheat!  Wouldn't even know how.

I was a pro who got bumped to master but I was ready for it. My avg was around 67 and was 100% honest so I was actually looking forward to becoming a master. I think these unexpected promotions are really going to hit the cherry pickers the hardest. From what I understand, WGT used your entire score history to decided your tier. If you only kept your good games and quit the bad games you were probably advanced farther than you should have been. (honesty is the best policy). It seems to me the problem isn't with the tiers but with the levels. I've had to switch to balls with the farthest distance just to play and by my calculations, it will take months before I can buy a master driver.

Someone suggested that WGT have a special sale for a few days so that new masters can buy the equipment we need. Seems to me that would make sense. WGT could make some money and we could get some decent clubs. Win win.

Me, too.  These latest changes really don't make much sense.

I won't play for months just to have the chance to buy better clubs.  I like playing games, but not getting gamed.

the master clubs are so much faster and harder. and they throw the timing of the other clubs off. i got the big driver when i turned master and went back to the pro driver. i have no problems playing well and reaching fairways. so , you dont need pro clubs, the system makes you earn them, which you havent yet. quit whinning
