  Thanks for your feedback.  We are looking into the situation where a player was bumped into a higher tier in the release and had no chance to buy the equipment.

  We are gathering data and evaluating modifications to the determination of tiers and levels. Please bear with us, your play and comments will help us tune the systems to be more fun.

  With all due respect, you dont seem to get it.  It not just about this situation but the restricting of clubs to people so that cannot buy clubs for their Tier.  In time it might work out but some of us playing now cannot buy clubs for our level and might not hang around until we re qualify.  Justice!  Legends on L30 cant even buy what were hack or amateur clubs.  That is more urgent than we are looking into it it a fundamental planning error.

  I'll start off by saying I enjoy the enthusiasm of WGT to improve the game and make it better but this new adjustment was a stepback ... it happens and just needs to be corrected.

  I just went from master to tour master and found that I can't play in any of the weekly tournaments since they aren't for any players in and "Tour ..." tier. Even though I am in Tour Master, I believe there is no reason that I can't play in the Master tournaments. I can't even keep up with the Pro scores lol.

  I think that the level idea is good but I just got bumped up two levels and once more since the change. I can't come close to any of the scores posted in these tourneys because they have already purchased the best clubs and I can't buy them until level 75+ or so (I'm at level 31).

  That's my 2 credits ( <-- I hope someone appreciates that) and that's all I'm good for :)

  Have posted this on the older thread, but consider:

  It's a little harsh if you're caught in the middle, but lots and lots of Masters have played wonderfully with the Pro clubs! (Especially the Raptures.) Some holes you will have to play now for par instead of birdie, but let me tell you: reaching the same greens in regulation with Master clubs is no picnic either. (I'm not even considering the faster swing speed.)

  Look at specifics:

  Bethpage - the 7th is easily reachable by Pros using Pro clubs, but from the Master tees with Master clubs - no. So you're in the same boat. At least one par-5 at Bethpage (13) is routinely reachable in 2 from the Pro tees with Pro woods - but almost never from the Master tees with Master woods.

  St. A's hardly matters because the wind and the roll are more decisive than length off the tee.

  Kiawah - yes, a couple of par-5s reachable with Master clubs cannot be reached with Pro clubs.

  Oakmont: all par-5s are 3-shot holes, and the 9th really plays as a par 5 anyway.

  PS. Seekerb, it looks like you're already playing Master clubs, that's as long as they get.

  So if you're a Master and you've got the Master clubs you've got no beef - those are the longest clubs available anyway.

  Thanks.  On one level you are right but I was thinking of buying the Ping i15 master to explore their precision.  But as I have said above, my issue is justice and logic and enjoyment of the game for everyone. I am happy with what I have and probably would have kept my raptures as well if I thought about it and might have bought them again out of interest and curiosity, but to have to virtually requalify to have this freedom is a joke.  I doubt whether I would have pursued this game if there was not reward for improving,  that is me personally. In real golf I went after new clubs when I knew that my skill needed more options.  Same here, although I also thought they might make me better which often they did.

  Maybe we should look at the levels from the point of view of the legions of players they hope will be coming aboard, who will start afresh. People like having something to work toward. It motivates them. The existing players happen to be caught up in the changes .. but hey, it's probably not called Beta for nothing.

  From a new player's perspective, it's every bit the nightmare it is for current members. Basing equipment purchases on quantity instead of quality, WGT has ensured that new players who improve and enjoy the game will be promoted to tiers and not be able to spend the credits to get the appropriate gear.

  Levels (quantity) should be for unlocking items that do not directly affect game play (avatars, clothing, etc.). Tiers (quality) should be unlocking the appropriate clubs and balls.

  OK, I'm not quite a hacker.  I am able to reach the greens in regulation.  But the wind speed is always excessive, and the major change for me is the greens.  Maybe if I put in the time, I can get back to close to where I was.  I understand I'm not in the same boat as those who don't have the clubs that match their levels.  I'm still surprised at the major change in the green speeds.  It's forcing me to throw out everything I've learned about putting in this game, and it's very frustrating.   It's like learning how to putt right-handed, and someone says, 'ok, you have to putt with your left hand'.   Wish I saw this coming...
