Trying the ATV wedges here...very nice clubs, nice slow meter.  Not too much spin, and seem plenty accurate.  I'll give them a good tryout between tonight and tomorrow, but will probably go back to the Clevelands at the end of the rental period, for a couple of reasons.

    1.  I like the Cleves around the green for their stopping power on pitches, chips, and flops.

    2.  I also like the yardages of the Clevelands (60, 80, 100) as opposed to the yardages of the ATVs (50, 75, 100)...but that's probably because I'm used to the 20 yd spread between clubs.

Think I could be happy with either set, but see no compelling reason to change at this point.*

    * I did hole out a punch with the ATV 100 wedge at BPB #1, but that's probably just wgt messing with me.  ;-)

but I would buy more if there were more free rentals !!

that I can surely be not alone with ?

rents also only for practice ??

Basically club rentals are nothing short of a rip off. We rent to see if they work as we expect, but surely this rental should be deducted from the price if you then purchase them within a given time frame.

The current pricing for rentals is just too high, especially if that price is not then deducted from the purchase price.

That said I think all rentals should be limited to practice rounds. These free weekend rentals are the dishonest players delight. But of course this will not happen, as not only will ball usage be higher,  increased clubs sales (assumption) but I would bet stakes from MPC are also up.

Will I try anything, probably not because there is nothing I really want.

Alan nails it...rental pricing is ridiculous, and definitely should be deducted from the price should the customer decide to buy.

First of all well played WGT.

Trying the L94 Nike (oh me and shiny objects lol).  I was expecting a dead spot around the 6 feet mark, but so far not that at all? Seems to play like my L70 Versa but somehow easier, and feeling like it will do what it's told even more on dead aim dings or slight misses to hold a line.  Tempting.

This is why I should not be allowed in toy shops:)

Jim, I also rented the L94 Nike.  I agree,  similar to Versa.  The one area that has me leaning hard towards buying it is how well it does for me on steep downhill putts.  Especially on Champ green speed.

    Spot on m8.

Club rentals should be free (or at least deducted from the overall cost if purchased within the time frame) and they should only allowed in practice mode while rented.

However, it's WGT so folks can always wait until these free rentals which come around every couple of months.

Why not just a more sensible rate? Say 100 - 150 credits.  That way you can try at couple of things to compare.  After that the pro shop IMO should get funky to say offer 50% back at least (and encourage the sale).  I don't agree with just allowing use in practice mode as people should be able to test something in all conditions IMO, and if they are paying for that privilege then who cares?

What currently exists is just plain daft as WGT must surely be relying on these free rental periods to shift any real numbers that are my thought's. Shoppers are generally sharp these days so work with them more.  Some abuse any system, but they do anyway?

These free rental weekends will still be appreciated, but in between some common sense might keep things ticking along for all a bit more. My view.
