LordDunne: I am constantly being bumped up tier for shooting 35 and 69 in similar rgs yet these guys do not seem to be.
Sorry I must of missed something, because i do not see this in the history of this account.
An almost dormant account comes rolling in a few weeks ago and plays the rg's as a pro, plays 8 or nine rg's and a few other ranked rounds and gets promoted. That's the rules now, where exactly is the problem.
Plus that's once, certainly not constantly. But I know what's going on here.
I have poker accounts all over the world, and i also have several on some sites, what check do they actually have, and I was never aware that poker sites prohibited more than 1 account and they have accepted my same credit card on multiple accounts. But things could of changed, it's been a few years, I stopped playing as they are clearly rigged.
What exactly is WGT supposed to do here.
1. Require a credit card. (There goes all the "play for free" advertising and also who only has 1 credit card or 1 at all.)
2. IP address, 1 account per IP. (Since my ip changes every few days, as well I can change mine at will to anywhere in the world with my world wide VPN, what exactly could they do here, and would it not be easily worked around.)
3. 1 computer 1 account, doable, (but there are so many multiple computer households in addition this could be easily worked around on a single computer.)
Which leaves WGT with only 1 option, and 1 that seems to be suggested, shoot good within a certain time period or at a certain tier and the account is closed. Define good, define time, and would it change when new equipment became available. Sorry but I would think there is a fundamental problem with this thinking. In the western world we have a system in place that essentially says it's better to let a guilty person go free then jail an innocent 1. I'm not into jailing some poor sob because he hit a hot round with good equipment from a forward tee box.
I played here since 2009, I'm an average player, played my way up to legend, never was able to compete very well until I hit the Legend tier, and learned to play that tier, and finally when I hit level 90 and the r11's that changed my game.
For me Legend and above, level 90 and above is where it's at, they win everything, all the big tournaments, the game is the most fun and the most fair from that tee deck.
IMHO, WGT is doing it right, right now, rapid promotion to the Legend tee deck for anyone displaying skills and playing for credits at lower tiers. The lower tiers is like the jungle full of cheaters, MA's, etc. Fight your way out of it, get to Legend and the back tee boxes and the better golfer, better player wins. It's way more fair and a lot less concerns about what is going on in the lower tiers.Well unless they happen to be playing in lower tiers.
Let face it, we have legends and above far to concerned with what is going on at lower tiers, the lower tiers are full of Legends that could not make a go of the back tee box and went back into the jungle, but again, that decision IMHO is a mistake, far more enjoyment can be garnered here just learning the back tee box and sticking with it.
So in my summary we have plenty of people trying to play for free with all the best equipment, have average skills and are looking for any advantage, and an easily worked around rule change is exactly the advantage they are looking for. I'm not immediately buying the suggestions and question the real motives behind them, sorry if it's deemed offensive, but it is what it is. It's an overly obvious option for some average player looking to be the latest shark at the top of the food chain.
I would suggest if you want to play for free or next to free while remaining an average player, check out the earn credits tab, making suggestions in an attempt to remove the better players from the lower tiers is the wrong way to go, the sharks would be free to eat us then and it's just not possible and any solution makes it worse for WGT and the rest of us. So either get better or watch some videos.
In addition I have absolutely completely and totally no sympathy for any Legends being beat in a MPC by a level 90 TP. Buyer beware, most of us would not buy green meat, but there are those that do, and what can anyone do to save them.
Take care and happy New Year.
