Why "Frisco" instead of the preferred and insisted upon "San Francisco"? Because it is preferred & insisted upon and "Frisco" drives them NuTz!!!

SP, you have obviously spent far too much time in the 'wrong' 1/2 of the wonderful state of California.  Can go off people, you know  :)

    Thomas

It is true Thomas, but the weather holds me tight, and the choices of places to go, things to do....people to avoid. I love "Frisco" it is a fact. I'm happy to be able to go there a few times a year. It is a beautiful city, and it is perfect for my great love of walking, Long walks are easy just looking for a 'straight bar' to go into for a 'quick' drink. Gotta love Frisco!

    Hi Thomas,

I live in So Cal and a few of my favorite sports teams reside in Los Angeles.  I enjoy the Bay Area okay ... but I can't consider So Cal the "wrong half" ... at least for me.  Where I live is heaven.  I've spent more than 1/2 my life outside this area ... hope I can rectify that in the next 10 years!

Willie Nelson was recently awarded is 5th degree black belt in the Korean Martial arts called GongKwon Yusul ... for his 81st birthday.  Very cool, shifu Willie!  He's also a very talented singer and song writer.  It seems those I talk to about him either love him or hate him ... not too much in between.  I'm one of those that love him.  The first video is from his 1978 album, Stardust:

I really love the way Willie sings this next song ...

Finally, here's a tribute paid to Willie by Toby Keith and Scott Emerik ...

Have a wonderful hump day everyone!

DK - Meant no offence by saying 'wrong' half....too many years of wearing the Orange & Black, I guess  :)

And thanks for Willie's version of 'Loving Her.'  Hadn't heard that in ages

    Hi Thomas ...

My fondest memories have always been from So Cal ... I was born in Oregon and promised my mom I'd get my degree from Oregon State so I know too well how orange and black can have a soothing effect!  I also love No Cal ... a huge Raider and 49'er fan.  Nothing prettier than the Pacific Coastline!

I love Willie's rendition of Kristopherson's song "Loving Her" ... it was a tough choice between that and "Help me make it through the night".  Glad you liked it!

Heck with it ... here's the other Kristopherson song ...

So ... which song is better?  I can't choose.

A colleague of mine brings in her son when she's working and he hangs out in my office while we work.  He gets to listen to my music.  Yesterday I setup a playlist of Willie Nelson tunes.  Today ... a bit more country.  Wanna guess who?
