    Prejean's...W0W!

A couple of locals here recommended a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant called "K-Pauls" off Canal Street" ... supposed to make Prejean's taste like a TV dinner!"  ... will see ... 1/2 hour away.  I've got to go early ... my traveling companions want to get back out on Bourbon Street.

    Well, what's the verdict?

    May 20

1315 - Bonne of Luxembourg ~ wife of John II of France

1759 - William Thornton ~ Architect of Capitol Building

1768 - Dolly Dandridge Payne Madison ~ 1st Lady...An icon. And to imagine...as the White House burned at the hands of the British, she escaped with one thing; the full painting of George Washington she removed from it's frame, rolled it up and saved it. It hangs in the White House today. Amazing priority.

1799 - Honore de Balzac ~ French Novelist....In a love letter to Madame Evelina Hanska. Polish countess, dated Oct 6, 1833, he wrote...."...it will bloom always fairer, more gracious, because it is a true love, and because genuine love is ever increasing. It is a beautiful plant growing from year to year in the heart, ever extending its palms and branches, doubling every season its glorious clusters and perfumes; and, my dear life, tell me, repeat to me always, that nothing will bruise its bark or its delicate leaves, that it will grow larger in both our hearts, loved, free, watched over, like a life within our life..." ...hum, and then, just 17 days later, in another love letter to same, he wrote...."Good heavens; I am terrified to see how much my life is yours ! With what rapidity it rushes toward your heart..I am with regard to this bliss like a child, like a man of science, like a fool taking care of tulips !"....They got married in 1850. Mr. de Balzac also said this "behind every great fortune there is a crime"

1806 - John Stuart Mill ~ A giant brain of many hats

1818 - William Fargo ~ Founder of Wells Fargo

    1841 - Sara Oberholtz ~ anti-smoking advocate...figures

    1844 - Henri Rousseau ~ French Painter

1899 - John Harlan ~ Supreme Court Justice

~ and as a matter of fact....

in 1293, Earthquake strikes Kanakura, Japan and 30,000 say "sayonara"

in 1310, shoes are made for both right & left feet

in 1873, Levi Strauss patents his jeans

in 1895, First commercial movie performance at 153 Broadway, NYC

~ back to the future ~

Yeah ... but this FYP has to consider our FOP followers ... her recent stuff (like over 10 years ago) is just reverbed to death!  Anyone out there like Cher?

Edit:  I did like this clip when she was on David Letterman ...

sorry for the missed clip ... I started this vid at 3:45 to reduce the length, but it didn't post like a usual vid.  Anyone know how to clean that up?

1849 – Future U. S. President Abraham Lincoln is issued a patent for an invention to lift boats over obstacles in a river, making him the only U.S. President to ever hold a patent.

And Happy Birthday to Novak Djokovic, the premier ladies man of pro tennis!  :-)
