i hit it 90yds and it went 57 how is this possible

It  isn't  - the laws of physics are if you hit it 90 yards, thats how far it went.

If you mean you intended to hit it 90 yards but only hit it 57 yards, I would thing you probably used the scroll button on the mouse or   accidentally  changed to a lower club (yes we all have done that, especially if I am tired - then my routine can go out the window and can be quite entertaining lol).

The only other scenario is you choked way down on the shot, but I know at your level. experience and clubs it will not be the case.

I think he meant....    He click 90yds on the meter scale but only went 57yrds

~And Chrome does fine with pepper flash disabled, and using the regular flash player. There's a thread somewhere on here by ScottHope, I think, explaining how to disable pepper flash in Chrome~

Thanks Jay, there's a link to a powerpoint presentation on my profile page if anyone is interested, and for those who aren't, it's still there.  ; )

Bill, I am pretty sure that something happened your end on that, and to me the most obvious answer is you  accidentally  used the scroll button on the mouse when you moved the mouse.

I did this once when I dragged the mouse and to my horror changed from a driver to a 64 degree wedge but was too late lol.

It is for this reason that saving a replay is useless as it only shows the result, and none of the shot making decisions.

That said you never know but I cannot see why WGT would do this  deliberately - unless it was a bug (and did you report it?) I can;t think of a valid explanation.

Sorry to disagree but I have had this happen on many occasions, it's down to wgt playing silly games yesterday I had a 155yd shot to the green played it 160 with bs and the ball landed at 135 thats 25yds short of the shot I played and it was only 1/2 spin so there is know way that ball would have been that short the wind was a L/R 5mph.

I have been trying to get a round with Iconian to play with the Vem on her and it hasn't been possible.  Either she isn't on when i am or WGT is blocking it so it won't be visible.

Iconian is a guy ... IIRC his real name is Ike ...

    Thus Iconian ...

And I beg to disagree :)

Yes we all get WTF shots (or variance, VEM whatever you want to call it) but these I believe are with the tolerance or  parameters  set by the programmers, From my experience this is set up to a maximum of 20%.

Bills shot certainly was well in excess of this so think  inadvertently  he did something. Your shot fits in that area. Bear in mind this is a plus or minus 20%.

    Frustrating? Very.

Realistic? Yes (based on my golfing experiences and I was a low handicap player).

I did keep a record for quite some time based on shots that  didn't do what I expected. Most were in the vicinity of around 10%, some a little more, some a little less. But 10% on a wedge approach from 100 yards is a lot (I had one when we played last). It is certainly the difference between a probable birdie and a par. But like I said, it is realistic compared to real golf (and in real golf it can be wind effects but often the swing mechanics that are slightly off).

So I just shake my head, and carry on, BUT if you have credits on the line, thats when IMO it is wrong. Thats one reason I will not bet credits, plus for me it is fun, or a challenge.
