Uneven Lies Ryder Cup is ON!

  Me and John (Dakotarov)

  

  

  I had an enoyable match with John, very good player and one with whom I spent a very nice time playing in windy and uneven Merion.

  About the match, John took the lead at #1, where I had a bad hole management; then I won two holes in a row but a poor 3rd shot at #4 gave me back a deserved bogey.

  I found a good streak then and John was very unlucky in some putting attempt (especially at  #7 & #12) to halve hole. Dormie from #15, where John had a couple of amazing shots and win the hole; unfortunately, his birdie attempt at #16 to extend the match just burned the edge.

  Tnx again John, I think we'll meet again soon. :)

  Congratulations on a great win for the ROW team, and commiserations to John but many thanks for stepping in for the US team and giving it your all.

  ROW are creeping every closer to the winning mark. C'mon Team USA, let's see a fightback: singles is supposed to be your speciality, isn't it!

  FYI: next singles match to go out may be Bonalyau against TarheelsRule. They were set to go last night (WGT time) but there was confusion about dates, as Jean's Wed was actually William's Tuesday. They're set to try again in about 5.75 hours time from this post.

  Thu 2am UTC (10am Jean's time; 8pm William's time on Wed eve) (6pm Wed WGT time)

  Oh, and for anyone who's been a part of my tournaments in the past, you'll know that I'm a bit of a Stats fiend... so please anticipate some Ryder Cup stats coming soon!

  One highlight to note is some extra congratulations to Luciano (Daskino) who will be the only player on either team to finish with a 100% record: 3 points from 3 matches. Bravo Lou!

  Sorry ROW team... I played against William, who played very well, but I cannot finished my match, I had a problem, probably my mouse... So He wins, I forfeited...

  That's a real pity Jean... I can certainly sympathize. It must have been awful to experience terrible computer issues in an important tournament situation. 

  In such a circumstance, one option might have been to finish the front 9, then request of your opponent to reboot, and start up with a back 9 afresh to see if things got any better. I think it would be a reasonable request to make of your opponent to disconnect once to see if there's improvement.

  Anyway, thank you for the report and for your participation. That result certainly keeps things interesting... ;) Team ROW have a 3 point lead with 6 matches left...

  Tough match for Jean, he was having computer and / or mouse issues from the start which cost him several holes.  He chose to give up the match on the 8th hole.  Thanks for letting me play in the competition, how we can give it a go again Jean.

  Just completed my tie with deedles77/Dee. Minor wgt glitch delayed the start but we got there in the end.

  Devon and i tried to play our match today but the game wouldn't load the next shot after we'd both hit our tee shots. Were gonna try again at the weekend.

  I promised some stats from the tourney, and here they are.

  In the end, it will prove impossible to merge in Singles stats as they're MP games rather than stroke, so the data in these charts is from the Worst-Ball and Best-Ball series.
