Matches is the second part of the truth. A win against a higher tier brings you closer to a tier-up - it did 1.4 average strokes for me.

I've seen a player become Legend with no Tour Master stroke play at all.

I think they've changed it again recently Mr A. My members tell me that it has less effect than it used to.

I believe that would be a good thing, too many people tiering up against weak or new legends too fast and then crying they do not have the equipment to play in the new tier instead of learning the game first.  Nobody should gain anything by defeating some one in a higher tier if their opponents average is not equal to or lower than theirs, a 64 average tour master should not be given a move up based on beating a 70 average legend, a 63.99 yes, but not above their average regardless of tier.  Just my thoughts on the whole matter and some will agree and some will not.  Also If you are shooting 23's you should be able tier up pretty fast, wow, got me impressed even though I could not find any 23's in your scoring history and I am still looking for my first 23 as it has to happen on something besides best of par 3's, they do not count for average.

Yes, I'm aware of the reports disputing the former experiences.

    - less impact than the 0.7 per match which I was confronted?

    - only challenge matches?

    - only a selection counting?

    I don't know...
