Can anyone tell me if the holding ability of these Irons is noticably better than the top-line Pings?
Think of these irons like g20s on roids with great sticking power. IMO i have the 85s and love em from playing the 20s from level 59 to 92...i think they are great but thats my opinion some may have others... LOL and usually do...
Without a doubt. Level 97 version, anyway. :-)
During free rental I tried the level 85 to see what's what. I felt they had more bite. Most of my friends that were playing G20's have switched to the L85 Nike.
I also tried them during free rental. I was on the R11s, but the meter is too fast for me. I had the G20s (lvl83) until I made Legend and was at the level to get the R11s.
The Nike irons are much easier to control and certainly hold the green.
The high level one's are bittchin.
Are the Nike V-forged clubs still available? I don't see them in the inventory. If not, what is an equivalent to them that are available now?

No, Nike's out of the club business and they were replaced here by the Callaways.
So, which of the Callaways are equal to the control of the V-Forged?
