And for me personally, it's rather embarrassing getting beat by people with half the amount of skill I have.

Icon and I obviously aren't as proud as BB :-), mainly due to the fact we're (edit) highly skilled credit whores...

LoL.....wow...most of the tour masters have better averages than the Legends, now does that make any sense.....I don't remember Tiger or Jack giving up 30-40 yards on the field.  I don't recall Jordan or Kobe shooting into a 15 foot rim......There are no more familiar names in the ready go top 10, most of the winners are now Tour masters......And WGT keep on trying to tell us to welcome the challenge.....What a total joke.

It took me forever to reach “ Master Level” and I mean FOREVER. Determination will achieve any goal Please my friends and fellow wgt memebers Lets get on with it – I am determined once more to achieve yet another goal and that goal is Legend.

Unfortunately, you don't understand what the Legends are going through.  Where is the competition or challenge if a tour master with the same equipment is hitting 40-50 yards closer than the legends.  Until you're on this side of things you wouldn't understand why all the recent complaints.  We're not asking for a lot, we just asking for a chance to compete with the tour masters...yes I said the legends want a chance to compete with the tour masters.......

Boff, the difference for a guy like BB and other legends playing in the old Ready Go's is that their main competition were other top tier players who put a whole lot of time into become a top tier player.  A Pro jumping into a Ready Go took there chances.  The results were never hidden, you can check to see who won what, and what that persons skill was.

Hi Neil, I wasn't talking about the "old" Ready Go's but when the Master tier was first created.  You may want to read that again.

Like you I was a Master before this last update and played in many RG's and while what you state is true I will stand by my claim that those upper tier Masters (who could play in them) virtually printed their credits in RG's.  Why would anyone (except me...lol) want to pay $1 to win 50 cents an RG, day in and day out  if that?  The pool of players IMO was getting smaller while the product introductions were making the game easier for top level Masters under the old system in RG's.

RG's now in an ironic way are somewhat like a tournament with handicaps and the playing field is just a bit more level.  Most Legends still make up the top spots.  Please check at the end of each day and go to closed tournaments and click on "Leaderboard" for every RG (not just the ones you played in) and this will bear true.

And those Tour Master's that are winning will become a Legend soon enough by posting those low scores...and if they post "high" ranked rounds when not playing RG's they will most assuredly be outed.

    May the best skilled win.

Hope to someday play a game with you Neil.  Good Luck and thanks for your feedback.

These are gentlemen / owners / entrepreneurs that will get fed up with the bickering, moaning, complaining, and ALLL the negative feed back and guess what - one morning , afternoon, evening, middle of the night, or whatever time we will go to log on and, the course wont be closed for “Maintenance” it will be closed permanently .( PLEASE- DON’T THINK IT CAN’T HAPPEN…PLEASE) AND YES IT IS – bickering and moaning.

I call that feedback, which they have asked for.  My god these people have signed lucrative partnerships with the R&A, USGA & LPGA and they're going to shut it down because of a little negative feedback in a beta game...  I think you're being a little overly dramatic :-)

If they're that thin-skinned and really don't want to hear what the customers thinks, then please shut the game down.  I for one believe they do want the feedback and will hopefully take it to heart and improve the game.

Actually the averages most likely means nothing.....I'm not sure at what level someone moves up to the next tier but I suspect it would have to be Level 100 before they move up, this way the tour master can only play ready go's and rack up on credit while limiting the amount of rounds they play.  No way the most skilled are winning now, not even close.  Most of the tour masters have better averages than legends now.

Hi Iron, you have been here as long as I have, the Tiers are based on your ranked round or tournament scores.  Click Here

The levels have to do with unlocking equipment. (perhaps a new legend one?)  look at the RG leaderboards again there are many people already in the mid to high 40's level and we are just 6 days into the changes. (including you)

Regarding averages of Tour Masters: You are noticing it more now because you're playing folks from that tier more.

Remember when Match Play first started?  I played a lot of Pros whose averages were as good as mine (master) if not better. (43-12) won-loss record against them.

The Sky is not falling...(actually he's the moderator...lol)

    Take Care.

That's kind of misleading, that was there before the upgrade, there were a lot of masters with lower average that didn't get bumped up to legend because they didn't have enough ranked rounds played to be considered.  That whole spiel about tier was before, averages means nothing now, basically to move up tier/level you're going to have to play a lot of round.  I know a lot of people have gotten from level 30 to 40 something real quick but do the math.  When I was at legend 30 it took 1000 points for me to reach level 31, now I'm at level 44 it's going to take 2700 points for me to reach 45 plus over the holiday weekend I played a lot of rounds which I won't do now because of work and it's also football season.  I think everyone is going to hit a wall around 60.  Plus you bring up your record again the pro's, but there is one difference now than when you played a pro as a master and a legend playing a tour master.  You played with master equipment and the pro's played with pro equipment which leveled the playing field and made it possible for you to have a winning record.  The most a pro driver max was 255 the master 275 (that's fair).  Now If I play a tour master, we are BOTH USING THE SAME EQUIPMENT, on some courses I'm hitting 50 further than they are.  Does this make sense to you or seems fair......Think about it before you respond.

By the way my match play record against pro's 114-14 (half of those loses I actually fell asleep playing....lol)

    Against masters 31-16

Undefeated against hack and amateurs (yes, I'm an equal opportunity ass kicker....lol)

since i never aimed to become a legend or wanted to be, i was never given a choice never won any RG's or tournaments. i played because it was fun and like many others spent a lot of money to keep up with moving to higher tiers. it is now not fun for me. i thought that a legend would be the best players and im no where near that level. i thought it was consistency that got you to a higher tier not how good you are.  having now vented my frustration, ill find something else that i feel is fairer and the game is not just after your money. which i regret spending now. all good things come to an end. shame , but there it is

You know Boff that's generally what happens in sport, the top players win the most money. They are rewarded for their excellence, not punished or put at a disadvantage.

Why would anyone (except me...lol) want to pay $1 to win 50 cents an RG, day in and day out  if that?

I started playing ready go tournaments fully aware I didn't have a chance of winning them. I wanted to test myself in a bid to get better at the game. My first 150 ready go tournaments I averaged 95 credits in winnings per tournament, a loss. The next 150 tournaments I averaged 115 credits in winnings per tournament. I continually worked hard to improve to make myself competitive. This resulted in my final average credits per tournament being in excess of 200 credits prior to the change and having won over 60 tournaments.

Throughout all of this I never expected a helping hand. I never expected WGT to penalise the top guys regularly beating my scores to make it "fairer" for everyone. I fully understood the risks and had nothing but admiration for the consistency of guys like Price, Iconian, Yoban etc etc...too many to name.

I am now struggling to win in these tournaments and I don't like it. However, just like I did when I first started playing them, I'll work hard at the weaknesses in my game in order to become competitive again. It will be all the sweeter when I win another ready go, knowing that I will have beaten a whole bunch of guys with a considerable advantage over me, as well as the top legends still playing in them.

This time it is going to be very much harder though, having to hit in woods and long irons to a number of holes means there is no margin for error whatsoever.

Ironking,,,give it a break. I have nearly 800 ranked rounds.[" I don’t understand what your going through"] PLEASE!!!!!!. The game has become much more challenging for you and you cant handle it. Your ego is being deflated so your using this thread to tell EVERYBODY how GOOOD you are...give me a break. Play the freaking game man. Also -"Average". Average means sh..t when you compete either in MP - RG's - and or with a group. I have played MP's with many so called "Legends" that would dwarf my avg. and in most games we went the full 9,with a fair amount into SD. average -average -average....enough. I'm done. This is becoming UN - freaking believable. Very disappointing. I’m starting to wonder how old some of our wgt members REALLY are. Time to move on…..
