If the meter speed works in reverse, ie 4.5 is slower than 3.5, then does that apply to all the attributes.

First of if this is a tad confusing to you then to a noob it may be kaleidoscope time, and so a good point IMO.

A simple explanation stating that the higher the number the better, no matter what the attribute being described, may help immensely.  Saying that I do like the numbers as these lend themselves to more exactness overall IMO (hopefully).

So...Does my level 59 set have more or less precision than the VR Forged set?

The Nike VR set has the highest number for this, and therefore the Nike VRs have the most precision of any of the above.

Separately if you are considering new irons only the L90 R11s will really allow you to compete against the elite to the fullest.  Not saying the others are bad and the meter can seem a little scary at first, but only at first for most.  You don't need to change at all until Legend though.

It may well be, but I hope not, that the confusion will lead to purchases that has the meter speed not being what is expected by consumers.  The net result, hopefully not intended by wgt, is that they will then have to sell that club and roll the dice and purchase yet another club.

That's the hard way to learn what digits translate to vs dots and "speedometer" style imagery but would certainly, in the short term, increase revenue. (since I fear they will spend more overhead/support hours to remedy and address complaints and credit compensation for the confusion.  (again, hoping the company will at least respond positively to confusion leading to ill-informed purchases) - net result may well lead to a few new folks or frustrated seasoned gamers to avoid purchasing for a while, if not permanently? :(

I figured it out - but had no intention of buying or renting (550 to rent the newest driver? omg)

how about a flat rate rental fee on anything and furthermore - not being allowed to rent more than 2 or 3 times.

Thank you James. That was very informative! I've been told I need to upgrade my irons to progress further, which is why I was considering upgrading now.

Whoever told you that is wrong. Those G20s are plenty of club to get you to Legend. The G10 version was the set to have when the Legend tier came about.  You're better off waiting until you get there to upgrade. You'll be at a higher level and be able to get better stuff. And when you do, pay attention to the meter speeds. Try to set your bag up so the speed is the same from your 3W to your PW. It will make a difference in your consistency.

What happened with Bandon Dunes?  Thought it was coming in January?

    Wondering also.

I think it's after June now.

It would def be after US Open concludes. We simply had no time to get it in before since US Open was photographed first and has to be finished first.

May not be the first to notice, but will be the first to say so. The crayon work on the clubs in the pro shop isn't the only thing that has changed. All of my clubs are backing up like hell, putting is a complete utter joke at the moment, and my 3 wood won't go 200 yards with a 5 mph head wind. Have tried BPB, SA, St. G. Best of par 5. front and back. It is a total change from how my clubs reacted yesterday. If it is just me, then ignore this post and forget I even mentioned it. Just seems so strange once again. I have cleared all the usual suspects, re-stocked the beer, emptied the ash tray, and called my 83 year old mother in Penn. to see how she is doing. I have never had balls backing up with every iron.
