There are options for the layout. Why can't we have one to make it as it was?

I do believe the numbers are just going to be a matter of getting accustomed to them after seeing the ratings the other way for years. I believe the real blunder is the fact that they are no longer sorted in ascending order by level.  Players are no longer able to easily see what is in the near future for them.

They've removed the incentive for people to increase their amount of play to get to the clubs at that next level or two. If they leave it like this it will cost the company money.

The easy solution would be to add a "sort by level" to the pro shop.

    here's why I don't like the numbers...........

    a number 3 means what..........3 out of 5.....3 out of 10 ?

need some kind of meter or something to explain that.......or put it back to the way it was

tnp, i think there is no limit now which is why they went to this rating system instead of the dots.  before, up to 5 dots is all you could get in one aspect.  now, you could have a putter that is 7.5 or even 8 or perhaps even more.  i think. lol

keep in mind if wgt increase attributes of future clubs, that will likely mean the decline of current club attributes.  certainly not in how they are shown in regards to pro-shop/club attributes, but rather how the existing clubs "perform" on course and green conditions.

in a nutshell - it may very well be that a high rated precision club today will not react similarly when higher rated precision clubs are released......for example.  I hope not, but do not doubt the possibility for one second :)

could degradation of current performance in game play make way for new clubs with higher ratings than ever thought possible under the old system?

duffer- definitely a possibility but a current club's "4" rating could also be reclassified as an "8" prior to those new club introductions. That allows for many more new clubs to slide into the gaps without changing current club performance.

that would be optimum indeed!  I'm not too confident, however, that they'll spend resources to change what's already out there.  I would so love to see you be right!  It makes far more sense, from a consumer standpoint anyway. woot - hope hope

    good post Sr.
