Papadeaux (Derbyshire Rejects) vs SReesor (UFVG)
Joe and I replayed our game this morning (we mistakenly played it as match play last weekend) and it was a great match ending in a draw at 64 each on Merion.
I managed to sink some putts on the front 9 going out in -5 to Joes -2. The back 9 was a completely different story. Joe's approach game with his irons really heated up and he went on a birdie tear which ramped the pressure up on me huge. Going into 17, I was -7, Joe at -6. My Tee shot on this par three was wide right and pin high; Joes slightly left and deeper. From that pin position I made a big mistake and missed the putt below the hole which carried it about 17 feet below the hole and Joe dropped a bomb of a birdie putt (Awesome putt Joe!!!!). I bogeyed and the resulting 2 shot swing carried Joe into 18 at -7 to my -6. Hole 18 saw Joe miss the fairway left off the Tee and he made bogey to my par.
We shook hands at a draw; 64 each and new friends were made. Great comeback Joe, I thoroughly enjoyed that round of golf and we have agreed to hook up for some Alt shot games in the future!
