Why , every time I post an item (either as a reply or as a new post) do I get a message saying "welcome ... blah blah..the first time you have posted...blah blah"... I will no doubt get it again when I click "post" here. Does everybody get this message or is it just me. ?
ANSWER. It doesn't last forever, just 'til the mods are happy you're not going to be trouble.
and, until they remember your name well enough to be sure they're happy.
AFAIS, posting a lot of harmless nonsense may succeed faster than scarce well-thought contributions.
Just tell them you'll be nice and give them a smiley face
