zagraniczniak: While they're at it, they might get rid of topspin on irons and wedges. I defy anyone to hit a wedge shot in real life with topspin on it.
I've bladed many a wedge and many an iron in my day.
So let's roll out some strategic new shots, like the wormburner - a personal favorite.
On sand shots, there has got to be a way on WGT to hit a flyer.
Item: In sand we could have a Blast shot which would aim like a Flop shot (which would have very diminished functionality in sand) except that if you hit the ball early it would tend to catch the ball thin, resulting in a flyer, or if you hit the ball late you would take too much sand and lose a lot of distance on the shot. Hitting early or late would not affect the direction of the shot in the case of the Blast. With the Blast in place, hitting a regular shot from sand would be like trying to pick the ball - with very little margin for error on the ding.
