FFS, man, you totally don't get it. You have no friggin leg to stand on yet you don't hesitate to condemn something you have no experience with. This isn't a macho man I can drive farther than you contest. Distance is not that big of a deal. Wait and see what that course you have no clue about brings before you talk.

Don't get you again mate,,,, but i'm trying. On the PGA tour all of the players want the longest stick... period.

I'll say again... i played with a player that is one of the best on this game. He said he tried all different spins levels.... and finds the R1 longer most of the time.

Again YJ.... i have played the course IRL. I know exactly how the course looks.

And.... i will take this players advise any day of the week. Without hesitation at all. No friggin leg to stand on?  Yeah.... tell him that.....lol.

Seems given advise to players here on what i have seen and heard is a bad thing now...lol.

Edit: And... for the record... this game is nothing like real golf.... can't even compare it to it. Really Beth Black here is not done justice. I have played there too.....wayyyy harder than on this game i can assure you. And...... the greens on Beth IRL are nothing like on this game.

And.... i'll bet the winner of this years Open can putt his or her golf ball. If the course is done like it should be... the greens will be the deciding factor.

Not when it comes from experience and that would include actually learning the clubs, including the Nikes you trashed that seem to be finding the bags of the best golfers.

Only because nothing else to spend their credits on. And they would shoot same scores with the R11s for sure. And when some of the best in this game says that i believe them,,, why would you not?

Also i might as well come clean with you mate. Pinehurst does not have really any doglegs that you can carry.....lmao!   Who told you Pinehurst had doglegs you could carry? I wasn't even going to say anything.....but...

Sorry mate.... but i could not help it...lol.  I think if my memory serves me well #7 has a pretty good dogleg.... but i don't think you can carry it. I have played #2 six times now over the years.

Beautiful piece of property. Stayed there once for a week.

Again.... if they do the course correctly a driver is not even going to be on your mind. Trust me.

I can give my opinion on a course i have played 6 times now huh??  or no??

LOL.. mate. YJ is a good dude. We just don't see eye to eye sometimes its all good.

He does though have to understand sometimes i know what i'm talking about.

I'll give you a good for instance. These trees on Pinehurst that YJ is talking about are sooo friggen far away from the fairways they are not even in play...lol.

If you hit a tree on Pinehurst #2 you need not to be playing golf...lol. I say again... he does not realize i have been there..... done that...lol.

Yeah.... u think.  When you play Beth Black you walk the course..... carts are not allowed. That course will kill you. If you hit in rough most of time you can't find the ball.

Gone...lol. Fairways are like 20 yards wide...lol. Will never go back to that course. Done got my beating.

Now Pinehurst on the other hand is nothing like Beth. Kinda a old school course layout. Score is how you putt..... period.

The trees on Pinehurst #2 are nothing but scenery. They do not come into play at all. Unless you are going to shank one...... known to happen from time to time....lol.

The greens on Pinehurst are some of the craziest greens i have ever seen. Depending on where your ball is on green.... you might not even have a putt. Might have to hit over a edge here and there.

Approach shots must find middle of the green most of time.... if not... rolls off into these crazy chipping areas..... most of which are far below the green surface.  Very hard recovery shots.

Heh, nothing to make up for. Gerald seems content to, on one hand, point out that BPB here is not indicative of how hard BPB really is but then infers his RL experience at Pinehurst plays.

I, on the other hand and knowing how this game plays, am making an educated guess as to why WGT introduced a higher lofted version of the R1 and called it a Nike. I can see 4 holes off the top at Pinehurst#2 where it's probably going to make a difference, Gerald's RL experience notwithstanding.  I have never tried the driver but, conversely, haven't ruled it out until I see where it could help in the future, specifically Pinehurst.

It's all moot and just discussion for a couple of months, anyway.

Interesting YJ.....  which 4 holes you think?  I just looked at the site and look the exact same to me as when i played it. Yup zero doglegs to cut. Don't get me wrong... if you hit it 450 you might could cut one hole... one. Doubt we get any 450 yard smacking sticks around here.. hehe.  So with that being said... zero doglegs to cut on Pinehurst... like i said earlier.

Did you see any trees in play?  Unless they are going to plant some.... looks same to me. Trees far from fairways.... far.  You did say in earlier post " note the pine trees all over"  They are all over..... just not in play...lol.

Never know WGT might invent some.....lol.

I know the course mate.... told you... nothing more than a old type layout with some nasty bunkers and if not for the greens would not even be on the US Open list. Also the condition of the course is really not like a Open course, little rough around the edges here and there.  Now what WGT produces... that is a whole different story. Only time will tell.

To me, all of the 287yrd drivers are a novelty. My SLDR is all I could ever want in a driver, although I will buy others as they come along...as a novelty. My poor putting coupled with my very longstanding habit of posting all my rounds keep me from much to show in score average. But the SLDR driver is excellent in all areas.
