Also thinking about a putter upgrade, l have as we speak the level 70 Versa and contemplating the one @ 96.

l should have saved the credits l wasted on the Nike driver and done the putter upgrade instead......

    Drive for show.......putt for dough!

    MainzMan:

Thanks for the feedback, now I know not to bother when I finally reach L100.

I didn't think it would be worth it, all those credits for 0.1 more forgiveness?  Bearing in mind that isn't even half a dot, it's a 10th of one.  And if it's shorter than the R1 as well......

Yes mate... the only time the Nike driver will out drive the R1 is downwind. And.....only by about 5 yards is all. And... that was against a player using a level 81 Nike ball against my Max ball.

Note... i'm using the Max ball. I wonder if i was using the level 81 Nike ball if it could out drive the R1 even downwind.

Into a headwind..... its no contest. I was out driving the Nike at least 7-10 yards every time. Again using Max ball.

You can for sure see the ball launches higher than the R1.... but its not going anywhere...lol. We were talking about it during the game... would get on the tee and see a headwind.... move out the way.... the R1 is eating....lol.

Hey.... one good thing though,,, at least it don't sound like a wet sausage when you hit it like the others do.  :))

Another point to bear in mind is the fantastic image association you get with the R1.

    Gerald you say that,

A guy l play with regularly in my CC has the X-Hot driver and he first used Nikes and has recently now changed to level 33 Callaways, used to keep up with me lengthwise, sometimes would even outdrive me, not by much but enough when l used the R1, and now the Nike driver l got, dreading to think!!

The SLDR is a good club too BTW!!

For sure mate. I could use that X-Hot thingy in a second and would not miss a beat.

Thinking about cutting doglegs....lmao. If they do this course right... they will be crying for their mommy when they step on the green. Most all of the edges on the greens fall off into nothingness lol. Most of the greens only a half of the green is even usable for pin placements.

Pinehurst will separate the good putters from the ones that are faking it.  :)

That new driver Jim is not that good at all. I have played with many that have it.

Once again, Gerald , you jump right in the middle of a discussion with an opinion based entirely on somebody else's game. I'm beginning to think you don't know golf at all and are strictly a gamer. This statement bears that out...

    geraldlarousse:
if my R1 is not going to cut the dogleg.... there is no way the Nike clears it.

That driver is a higher lofted driver than the R1, what makes you think it's not going to clear trees on a course you haven't even seen yet? Pinehurst was one of my favorite tracks in Links and you can get a taste of it in the CTTH here. Note the pines trees all over. I would be willing to bet the winner of the Open at Pinehurst will be toting a Nike driver. Just a WAG.

YJ i'm not a gamer mate..... a true golfer. And..... i jump in the middle hey?

Dude i just played with one of the best in this game..... and was smoking him off the tee.

He said the new Nike driver sucks!!!!!!!!    What are U talking about??

What is there to know???  The R1 out drives the NIke 90% of the time.... Period!

    End of that discussion.......lmao!

Edit:  Hmmm you say course i never seen yet hey??   How about i have played it IRL....lol.

    Have you??

FFS, man, you totally don't get it. You have no friggin leg to stand on yet you don't hesitate to condemn something you have no experience with. This isn't a macho man I can drive farther than you contest. Distance is not that big of a deal. Wait and see what that course you have no clue about brings before you talk.
