Since putting is one of the hardest parts of the game... it would be nice if there were practice greens.

Perhaps 4 different green areas- easy, medium difficult and next to impossible.

Not only would it improve players games - it would also be fun.

Setting it up should be relatively easy to do.

    Best Regards,

    Welcome!!

FYI, I've only been here about 4 years. Just about every good player on this site has recommended a driving range and practice putting greens.  For whatever reason, it does not appear that this will be happening here. With the addition of the "Mulligan" feature, you can practice repeated putts and fairway shots at will, on whatever course you desire.  Unless you are playing a "Putting Challenge", putts do not 'cost' you ball life - so "mulligans" are, essentially free! (The drives 'cost' unless you are using the free WGT ball).

The greens at St. Andrews and Bethpage Black seem to be relatively tame. The ones at Olympic are insane. Choose your poison --

Sorry to correct you Wheels, but mulligan putts cost 2 hits each on ball wear.

Yes Scott is correct,in practice mode using mulligans while putting does cost you an extra hit per mulligan....

You are correct Scott - I was thinking of the WGT freebies.  I'm not sure that the type of ball that you are using makes a lot of difference on the greens.

    I think that too Wheels.

And just to make putting that much harder it appears on some holes the hole is not where it appears!

The official reason given by WGT once is that the game would become too easy (to learn). Thus, IMHO, they are protecting their ball sales and their claim of realism (against low-low scores).

For the players, the good thing about it is that playing the rounds for practice brings XPs and pushes the levels up, balancing skills and buying options.

There are already practice putting greens, and they are the exact putting greens we putt for score on. We even get to set the green speed and the same hole locations we encounter during ranked round play. Just use Practice  game mode.

Does that mean you have the programming experience and skill it takes to do it and are familiar with how WGT has set up the game programming?
