Club Substitution

  I realize this topic has been brought up before.  However, playing from the championship tees it would be nice to substitute a hybrid for the 3I, which would still allow me to carry the 3-wood.  Presently, I drop my 3-wood knowing that I can't reach the par 5's in 2. Also, some of the approach shots require a higher approach which I utilize my hybrid for.

  I haven't seen the need for the hybrid round St Andrews but I'm using it instead of the 3 wood round Kiawah and Bethpage on account of the par 3s. I'd like to be able to drop my pitching wedge in favour of a lob though.
