OK scratch this thread, starting to go way off track.

I just asked in a perfect world is the intent of the number in the meter speed represented by seconds?

Please do not go off track .

I believe it's that way on purpose to combat auto dingers which is also why smart missing the ding works so well.

    Jim,

I do believe this is the case as well. I play miss the doorbell too, as you know, amigo viejo. I am so confused nowadays though because when I TRY and hit the gong I miss and vice-versa...LOL !

@G (woodo) don't fret, bud. The meter is actually programmed in milliseconds...don't tell anybody I told you that...our little secret. Shhhh ! As for the dots or decimals (now used) that is proprietary info and only an industrial spy could garner that info for us.

Even if you timed the meter 1000 1 1000 2 ..you need a loooong meter to get to 3.5. Same w/balls..sometimes 3.5 feel seem like 3. But no way to check. I usually go to the bladezs if im slow that day. Where did the old circle go for meter speed? Was that seconds? ty for post Gary

    No!

The actual speed of the meter is a variable dependent on each players computer.

But 5 is slower than 4. 4 is slower than 3. 3 is slower than 2, 2 is slower than 1. 1 is slower than 0.

The 4. With meter speeds the higher the number, the slower the meter.

Thank you all for your input. That is what i thought, but when I went from the original irons (meter speed 0.5) to a new set rted at 4 I noticed no difference, in fact if anything the new clubs are faster.

On a related note, I used to ask what the dots meant for the extra distance proshop balls.

I can see how fast my meter changes easily but it will take research and practice to find out what a 4 dot distance ball does in comparison to a 1 distance ball.

and in my experience it seems that the increased percentage is mainly only on the drives. Without a doubt it has no added distance on the putts.

What  rules if you have different meter speeds with the ball and the club ?

Do you get the higher , in other words if the ball is 5 and the club is 4 do you get the 5 meter speed,or does the club rule?

    I think it's all additive.

    i.e.

Let say the power meter's speed can be rated from 1 (fastest) to 100 (slowest)

If I have a starter ball at 0 (meter speed) and a 3 meter club =

my power meter moves at '30' (moderately fast)

    ---

If I have a proshop ball at 3 (meter speed) and a 2 meter club =

my power meter moves at '50' (moderate)

    ----

If I have a proshop ball at 4 (meter speed) and a 4 meter club =

my power meter moves at '80' (slow)

    But I'm just presuming.
