I find it amusing reading these posts, and others where it's always your computer that is to blame for how this game plays - or doesn't play as it were. The zealots and cheerleaders are hilarious.
If you want to see how this game is actually performing, what's being rendered, overhead, memory and cpu usage etc. Go to adobe, create a Cloud account, download an application called Scout. https://creative.adobe.com/products
Login once you're all setup. Log into WGT, start a game. With Scout running it will pick up on the open game window and you'll be able to see what's going on.
This game, really, is the epitome of why not to use Flash in game development. It isn't now and never was designed for this type of gaming/application environment.
I've been working with Flash since it was a plugin for Director (right?) The notion that you need a friggin' 5K gaming rig with a 50GB a/s connection to play this game is absurd and laughable.
This game has far far exceeded the limits of it's operating environment that's all. IMO, there is no fixing it, that's why it keeps getting worse all the time whenever they patch something.
As for the VEM, well it is what it is. It works they way it was written, does it's job. Why certain players it seems never ever have any of the issues the lot of players do is beyond me. Other than being able to target players based on some ID and 'shut it off' for them, I don't know.
Is that it is...
