    No ... one ... in ... this ...  thread ... said ... meter ... stutter ... is ... a ... connection ... or ... modem ... speed ... issue ...

If the meter plays unevenly on your computer there are things you can do on your computer, noted and linked to above, that will help.

WGT cannot set up your computer for you to maximize it's performance for playing WGT.

Without having to go back and ready every thread on meter stutter, maybe someone could throw me a bone with what to do with IE 11.   Also tried Firefox and Chrome and doesn't seem to help.    Have had issues in the past, but once MSN upgrade this machine to IE 11, it's been horrible.    Haven't completed a round in 3 weeks, usually because of disgust after the first 3 holes, where you click and what the meter continue to move.    Once I can figure this out, I'll go back and get some decent "balls", but can't see investing anything if it continues to run SO bad.   Help???   Suggestions???

Do a system restore and take it back before MSN upgrade then stop any farther updates after

most likely a flash player issue. make sure you only have ONE FLASH VERSION ENABLED! having two causes bad meter stutter.also try different versions to see which works best.

Some great advice there from Scott and Apex and if your machine is up to spec you shouldn't be having serious issues. Also Courteney is spot on, it's not a WGT problem.

I play on a 4/5 year old laptop running windows 7 (out of choice) with a decent graphics card , 4gb of RAM and my meter is smooth day in day out. I have re-configured it but have also taken the time and effort to find out what works best for my set up. I also have an 8 year old laptop running windows xp with just 1gb of RAM and I can also play without issues on that.

The point being there is no single quick fix answer, everyone's set up is different and it will take a bit of effort on the user's part to optimise their own hardware. Those that don't know how to do this can learn from the advice here, those that can't be arsed will continue to blame WGT

I had the same thing happen a few years ago. After many phone calls to the manufacturer, we finally figured out that my vid drivers needed updating. Did so - smooth as silk. I hope this is as easy a fix for you.

At the time I took advantage of the offer of email notifications of updated drivers. Hopefully, your manufacturer offers this.

Meter is jumping after last Windows update a couple of weeks back. I changed to Internet Explorer and the meter was ok, but since Wednesday 13, there is no avatar visible to hit the ball? It's there on first hole, then it's gone.

Has anyone else got a disappearing avatar?  Does anyone know the cause of this?
