Getting error after entering 9 hole bracket tournament.  On 15th hole, keeps coming back with error, says try again later.  It occurs as I hit tee shot.

I have tried using different browsers with no joy.

Hope you fix this bug soon.

    Very disappointing.

Bracket tournament is a great idea - HOWEVER - the way they are doing it here is simply idiotic.  I say that because on the side of the bracket that I was playing on I tied for the best score (32).  Yet I was not advanced to the 2nd round because I - apparently - was matched up with the person who also shot the same as I did.  He was advanced because he played before I did (apparently) and I was not advanced.

Yet people who shot a 34 (three of them) were advanced to the 2nd round.  If you folks at WGT think that makes sense............then you have none.

Here's how my side of the bracket turned out

    Carlecharls - 34 - Advanced to 2nd round

    Rondoboy - 36 - Did not advance

    Servals1 - 34 - Advanced to 2nd round

    Pontedcaranza - 41 - did not advance

    Cougarclaw - 32 -    Advanced to 2nd round

    KellyGreer - 32 - did NOT advance

    Ferrera96 - Withdrew

    KickkAss - 34 - Advanced to 2nd round

Its a bracket. That's how it works. You have 16 players who play 8 rounds one on one against each other. You get paired up with someone and have to beat them and in Rd 2 the same.  It doesn't matter what happens in any of the other matches as far as you are concerned, kind of like the NCAA.

Its a lot like doing a match play bracket, but instead of playing your opponent head to head, in match play format, you play your opponent head to head via stroke play score.

How would you propose it done. That if one whole side of the bracket all shoots better than the other side, then all 4 advance and they just play the same opponent again. That wouldn't be a bracket. That would be something else entirely.

Speaking of match play, would be cool if you could do that as well with these brackets, but I guess we can just continue to setup the community based onse and use the bracket websites

On top of what js said above, there is a specific way to determine the outcome of ties. It starts on the last hole and works backwards.

Love the concept, with the bugs eliminated this would be a fabulous addition for CC's!

Unfortunately I just encountered a major glitch in game #1029.

Final tap in putt on Congo (18 holer with 13 hrs remaining in 3rd round) when pop up message appears saying 'Tournament No Longer Active'

Rather disappointing as my score would have put me into the Final Round..

I tried saving the game and returning to it, but found myself back on the 18th tee playing my 4th shot..?!??

    Pfftt.

Not quite sure on that Jim. Unless Brackets has its own formulation )and apologies if it has) the normal tie breaker is the last six holes, then last 3 holes etc.

    How Ties are Handled

Agreed, would make a great CC event but as usual I was surprised it  wasn't  included for CC's immediately.

As for unfairness - it is the luck of the draw like matchplay. I was the 2nd lowest scorer out of the 16 players, but lost to the lowest scorer. Sure a player who shot 15 more strokes got through while I did not - no complaints as that is the beauty of this.

    A top edition WGT.

Ultimately starting at the last hole and working backwards.......  :-)

If any ties remain, the better scoring entrant between or among the remaining tied entrants will be the entrant with the lowest score for the 18th hole (9th for nine hole games) in such Game, and any remaining ties will be determined by identifying the lowest scoring entrant for each individual game hole, in sequence from 17th (8th for nine hole games) through to 1st, as is necessary to determine a winner, and if any ties remain at that point, the earlier-submitted entry between or among the tied entries will be deemed the better scoring entry.

I have reached my first bracket final , ID1005, so wouldn't it be nice to get something should I win it, like extra XP's, an award, or some cheap balls, anything would be nice, but I feel it is all just a waste of time and ball life.
