I think an improvement to the overall effectiveness of this feature is if it had a different colour or some other way of telling a person if they have a note on a particular hole or green. With so many (great) courses and holes it would be more enjoyable to not have to check this (or even remember to check - which is my problem!) every hole (or shot for that matter).
