In the weeds should not be an automatic lost ball.

Really now... sometimes I'm barely in the weeds and the game still treats it like I'm out of bounds.  Surely my avatar could find it in 5 minutes or less and hack it back out to a half-decent lie with a wedge?  Why does this game treat any and all weeds like they're OB?

Maybe not a bug, but I'd like an explanation as to why I can't hit out of the weeds...

or if u do get to hit out of them, its like ur dam ball is stuck in the ground and doesnt evenmove when u hit it.... ruin a good round real quick.

    FIX PLEASE

Jay I tend to agree with you but......

I have played a couple of the courses in real life that are on WGT and here is my experience.

St Andrews, miss the fairway by a couple of yards and the  likelihood  of finding your ball is remote. Find the gorse and you may see it but cannot get it back. The upside is often you find someone elses ball.

Kiawah - a similar scenario as above, this can be thick and near impossible to find your ball

And a couple that stand out.

Kai Sai Chau - Hong Kong - a couple of areas that are roped off with Cobra Signs - forget it, it is a lost ball and the course ranger will go nuts if you dare enter. Also wild dogs have been known to take balls sitting on the fairway.

Ria Bintam - Hit the fairway on one hole and you may lose a ball - fricken monkeys steal ball (probably trained by locals that sell balls back).

Now I hope WGT do not get any ideas........

Apart from "special" courses, it's difficult enough to find a ball in any rough after a 180 yds shot. Pros have their patrons to help!

Alas, I stopped thinking of individual balls, lost or worn to zip. To me, it's but an entry fee, so many credits for a game. As a rough figure, I use 1/10 of a sleeve's price for a 9 hole round. With Tour-SDs, my long time friends, it was 6 crs per round, with my current favourites, lvl33 Callies, it's 25. I also see it as an investment to gain fun and recreation, and from this viewpoint, it comes out as a very affordable pastime.

Those who want more, pay more, those who play it the budget way, pay less.

Instead of crying and shouting when a ball is "lost", you might think of the collection box passing - time for a donation for the game!

We pay for a ball we should get full use of that ball, It's not like wgt has to make a new ball every time one is lost. The stroke should be he penalty.

    c. As additional options available only if the ball last crossed the margin of a lateral water hazard, drop a ball outside the water hazard within two club-lengths of and not nearer the hole than (i) the point where the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard or (ii) a point on the opposite margin of the water hazard equidistant from the hole.

Hit ball in lateral hazard. Get penalized on stroke and a brand new 60 credit ball. Believe it to be lateral hazard as it guards right side of hole. WGT take ball out and places it behind a tree on the opposite margin of the hazard with no chance to advance the ball to the hole, by that I mean the ball is behind and hugging a tree with an eight foot circumference. Surely in a computer game scenario, the programmer can figure out how to control such situations in a much more fair way than this. This is after all a computer controlled game, and anything can be programmed. I play here nearly everyday, and spend a lot of money doing it buying equipment for my bag. Surely if we do this, it should be fair as far a game play goes. The money don't matter to me, but the rules should be read by whoever is running the program. This is the second instance of this happening within the last 4 or 5 days, and on the very next hole I get another lost in the weeds, which are farther I have ever hit a drive into an 18 mph wind. Not whining, but am disgusted and venting my spleen by expressing my opinion. I know what opinions are like, and I am entitled to mine. Thanks for reading.

It's safe to say that WGT wants some revenue from offering this game to us. How would you pay for the game and the company if not by balls? You want a fixed entry fee, a monthly subscription, or clubs that wear out?

CCC#6 or #11(?) Me thinks that we can hit the ball through the tree - did you try?

Alas, I agree that this is a stupid place for a drop. IMHO, it's not even remotely legal in many cases, thus a daft place to install a dropping zone.

OTOH; I see the problem to program proper dropping places for all points of the water hazard boundaries. It's not always trivial IRL, much more in such game.
