Cabo and Whistler green fees

I was thinking a while ago that at some point these courses should, by right, be made free to play. Once enough has been payed in green fees to cover the purchase price of them then there really is no reason for WGT to continue to charge for them.

Then last night it occurred to me how much revenue WGT is generating through the play for credits bracket tourneys. Surely some of the extra income from those could be used for the good of the players in some way? It is a totally new source of income after all and is all profit.

How about it WGT?

I suppose it really comes down to what contractual agreement WGT had with TruGolf. My understanding was there would be more TruGolf courses but I assume they were not used as much as predicted, hence no more.

To be honest I doubt the courses would become the property of WGT at any stage, but that is my guess.

It would be interesting to see what ball usage is pre and post brackets, I am guessing it has increased significantly too....but we will never know due to the code of silence lol.But I very much doubt anything for the "good of all players" will eventuate unless it will generate even more $$$ lol. But on the Free Brackets, why is there not some prize of credits even very small for the winners or runners up? They are using ball life and often more than the free tournaments that offer credits for the top 70 (again albeit quite small amounts).

But I am not WGT s that is my summation, but I also guess that you will hear even less from WGT lol

I would assume that they were rented, could be wrong though.

It could be they're rented I suppose. Whatever, the brackets are pulling in a lot of revenue for WGT, it would be nice to see something back for it.

How about making Cabo or Whistler among the courses on pay bracket tourneys?

I too would love to see more of Cabo & Whistler, any instance of either in the freebies I appreciate greatly. If we could have either as an unlimited for a few days would be a dream come true.

You got that a little wrong Mainz. It is not profit for WGT at all. Tru-golf gets the green fees for Cabo and Whistler. Look up Chad's post when Cabo was introduced. It is some interesting reading. And if you don't know. The green fees have been reduced by 40% since Cabo was introduced.

I don't think it's just wishful thinking. WGT uses Cabo and Whistler on occasion for Free Weekly Comps where they pay out credits to the top 70 with no entry fee.
