I agree with Timmy regarding the ball juice and Dave on "It's B**S**t"

The last 2 updates, I've had really good luck regarding disconnects, as I've had hardly any.

I use Komodo Dragon on a 5 yr old HP tower.  I never have other windows opened or do any other work while I'm playing

The first update, when they introduced the bracket tier, THAT was a nightmare, I think for nearly everyone.  Games freezing, can't get back to play, had to forfeit your game to play another, so it would freeze.  I lost about 2 balls of usage over 2 days due to having to forfeit because the game was frozen.

Were ANY of us given a free ball or free round at Cabo or Whistler...NOPE!!

We invest our time, our money (real and play), we visit sites they recommend, we buy from businesses that advertise here or we get "credits" for purchasing their products through WGT.

WGT doesn't have this site up and running for "S**ts and giggles"  They are making money from us when we buy credits, when we watch ads and when we buy products through their links and the make it from their advertisers.   WE are the customers and UNTIL we stand up in large numbers and make our voices heard about the issues, it will remain status quo.

When a good percentage of people don't play for 1, 2, 4 days and they see the potential loss of revenue, then the masses will be heard

WGT  ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION??????????..... I would like to see everyone post what browser and setups they are using to see if some are unique to the game and really do have an advantage over others that might be causing some of the problems of which so many players are posting their frustrations,,,,I personally feel it's WGT and their servers or the lack there of,,,again thank you all for your replies...(note) I did manage to finish a full 18 hole round by my self with out any glitches which makes me wonder if there is a major problem with WGT's ability to handle multi-player games with out at least one player experiencing a problem,it seems the problems intensify when there are multiple players in the same game.....

Thanks for the back up Marty! Unfortunately I believe this will get swept under the rug with ALL the other bugs. Know any good exterminators?? Virtual of course!

PS     I wont miss not playing for a few days!!! Especially when this crap is going on.

+1 I was with spdemon during that round. my client froze up, hit F5 and was told i hadn't returned in time (took <20 seconds to reload the client). not worried about avg, but it's a pain that we lose ball life when this happens. Perhaps we can go back to the old system, where if a player leaves a multiplayer stroke play game, they can finish it off later on....

While I've been booted, kicked,  disconnected, tossed to the curd and lost rounds to the seemingly worsening network issues here, they are just that. Network issues. Without WGT providing their server/network specs and details here I can only go by what I see and deal with and it seems to me that basically we're all dealing with connection collisions and some type of 'handshake'  interrupt problems along the way.

It isn't a straight piped connection from your computer to WGT servers, just trace it and you'll see where most of it's going, may not show every hop. Somewhere along the route that is unique to your connection if you're being booted could be there are issues with someone and that is sending 'dirty' info to WGT's end and you get tagged and booted.

With the sheer number of player accounts connecting to the various servers, I know I'd have protocols pretty tight so that incoming connections are tossed pretty fast if there's too much packet loss/jitter etc. You'd have to or the place would be far far worse than it is.

I think, imo, that they're hitting a wall and need to invest in more hardware, or someone has perhaps  tightened  things up just a bit too much. The only other explanation is that perhaps they're using a new service very close to the last mile on their end which is having issues.

Sometimes it is your end, ISP, router for sure.... But it's too widespread for that to be the only cause. People who aren't really dealing with it, would probably have cleaner/shorted routes and the ability to recover faster so they're getting fewer fatal game errors and kicks.

It's not your browser or Flash player doing this.....

@ded I understand what you're saying, but this issue is not primarily to do with the disconnect. It's mainly to do with the fact that we can't re-join a game after a disconnect. Before this error, we'd get the 2 minute time out and the option to continue or forfeit. That is what isn't happening now which IMHO is probably down to a software issue....

seen it, had it happen, been in denial about it too - i've seen strange enough stuff happen to not doubt anything anymore. :)

Thanks dedBuNNy for the info.  I like to rant, but the reality is that there are probably many contributing factors to the issues at hand, including what dedBuNNy referenced

I am not of the "Grassy Knoll" conspiracy, but sometimes...I wonder..hmmmm   :)

Let's just hope that things get better, that we can enjoy this "game" and not have to throw our monitors out the window, punch holes in walls, yell so loud that our wives/better halves threaten to take our privileges away if we "don't behave" or scare the dogs or cats.

Maybe a peaceful protest will get things changed.  Perhaps a sit-in at the WGT office.

"Hell No..we won't Go!     Disco was popular in the 70's & 80's...not at the 17th Tee"

Let's remember, this is a game, where we can escape reality and enjoy playing with friends, share a story or two and hopefully laugh along the way.
