    alexk345:
yours is 13.25 sebicu is 19% which is key stat

Alex, compare mine to Stoney's, who is/was a much better player than I...pretty even...but then look at his distance to pin and one-putt%, I'm sure much better than mine.

Also, you missed some important info on Seb, both of his scrambling %'s are in the 80's, mine in the 60's...if you look at Seb's distance to pin, he's not having too many long putts;)

Also, look at his hole out...think I noticed at least twice as many as me...he score well for  variety of reasons, putting is just one.

    hi m,

There are many reasons , but i was looking at big difference between top player and top top player , it is 5-10feet putt percentage.

Find another TL player who has better 5-10foot %  better and less winning. Other stats are important , i think this one takes the cake. if you can be sure of 5-10 foot putt , your overall game will be up.

I always looking one key stat with you can measure players , i think this is the one. Whole reason i created the thread to find the difference between players.

I think if i improve 0-10footer , i can be good player without even worrying about approach shot accuracy or other stats. I can flop well now ,  may be need tiny tuning to get 10% accuracy.

    sebicu

    Sand Save % 86.43%
    Scrambling % 84.46%

All the scrambling is due to his putting 5-10 footer. I believe his overall game has been good because of his 5-10footer percentage.

That is the holy grail stat for me unless someone come with a stat that shows something different.

Alex, all good, and I know where you were coming from vis the stat request.

Thing is...distance to pin is not measured via scrambling...only via GIR, putting averages (in PGA I think, unsure on WGT) are only looked at via GIR, *(as is distance to pin in PGA stats)

So, when Seb get's up and down from a missed green for par or hole out, his (ours too) scrambling % goes up...but I don't think that 1-putt % should change.

Like I say...there are many reasons why the top players here score well...you have to look at all of there stats, analyze them, and figure out what you need to do to improve.

I surely don't think it's just the 5-10 foot putt number, that sets Seb apart from the majority of us:)

Checked few  top players only DANSAMCAM has same 0.65% avg above 25foot , same as mine. Someone told me i have better stat because i was always away , in that context DANSAMCAM should be also away most times. :)

it does not mean we are same level , what i am saying is that long putt my technique work as good as top players.

Short putts my marker movement which is based on feel not worky. I need fool proof way.

You still don't understand the stats Alex.  Dan is going to make a 30 footer 3x as often as you.  Differences are you attempt them much more often,  and his are usually for eagle.

And mbag  1putt stats do include non GIRs as far as I know (on phone so can't verify).

Key phrase here, " not worky".

Tonto say, "this not worky Kimosabe, What we do?"

Lone ranger  reply's, "try something different"

Here at WGT?  That I'm not sure of, but pretty sure putting averages on the Tour, are just calced by GIR, will be interested in what you turn up.

And wow, ya ditched Arnie!...have you no shame;)

Yeah on WGT I meant.... never paid too much attention but from what I remember it treats 1putts the same whether it was GIR or not.

And don't worry the king will be back... just paying tribute to my favorite TV show at the moment :)

Personally I would like WGT programmers to sort TL by their names spelled backwards.

Now that would be a great use of their time.
