  Dear WGT,

   I am not good enough to qualify for the US open and can no longer win anything at my tier, please change the parameters of your game so I can win again.

  I'm a duffer just like you and am in the same boat.  A mid range legend and with no chance to win anything outside of my CC.

  I get the tongue in cheek humor of your post and agree that the US Open should be for the best players.  But under the WGT current setup, all tournaments - Ready Go's, Brackets, etc - exclude anyone but the best from being being in contention, let alone winning.

  Turning Legend was really the worst thing that happened for me because once I did, my competitive days were over.  I would advise any Tour Master to remain one unless they can break 30 on a regular basis.

  What the real game of golf (USGA) has that WGT does not is a handicapping system.  It would enable players of all skill levels to compete on an equitable basis.  It would also encourage sandbagging, but cheats will be cheats in all walks of life.

  If not a handicapping system, create flights within a tier so players with similar averages are competing against each other.  It would encourage more players to enter, make the game more exciting and bring in more credits, adding to WGT's rake.  Seems like a win win to me.

  Oh yes miss Courteney, they can make the greens MUCH faster if they wish, or really syrupy ... and they can increase the winds to a severe level likewise. I'm sure with a little bit of programming they could have the winds flip-flopping directions in the middle of a shot also. I can agree that another tier at the top could be added after Tour Legend tier tops 2 or 3 thousand members. Have the score avg. about 55 or so, and increase the diffiiculty with winds and really crazy green speeds. They could call it Professional tier or Elite tier or Can't Touch This tier for all I care ...

  This is where I think WGT went wrong. I said from the beginning the cut line to be TL should have been set at 57 not 60. We win Crystal(or something) Course awards for scores of 57 or lower on 18 hole courses. IMO... that's where the Tour Legend Tier should have been set. If that had been done, there'd be no need for another Tier. Having Legend at 61 then Tour Legend at 60 is much too close.

  I think we get it. :) no need to post 3 of the same posts b2b2b.

  The game is what it is. They can't just keep changing stuff to suit all the folks complaining about tiers.

  And alex I could understand you asking for a new challenge if you were TL but as it stands now the game should be hard enough for you. We still have a long ways to go before we hit TL so why not enjoy the game for what it is.

  Couple of things, just my thoughts....

   

  I think there are only about 1100/1200 TL's. via Russ's sheet, not 2-3000.

   

  Okay, my thoughts on new tiers...not needed, my suggestion (I've mentioned this elsewhere, heck, maybe in this thread) is have transition point for new Legends and new TL's...

   

  I'd propose that the first 100 games (Ranked Rounds/AS/MP/Etc) be a transition point to play with "new Legends"..let's call them Intermediate Legends--same goes for TL.

   

  What this would do could create a set of RG's/weekly tourneys/etc, specific (like tiered tourny's are now) that only those with less than 100 games could enter. 

  Ofcourse they would be eligible to enter everything else, but keep a place for the "newbies" so to speak, to play like-kind players while they are working on thier new Tier.
