To be honest, the VUS Open is for the games elite so I have no problem with the current format.
However as the qualifier is unlimited play (designed for maximum ball usage) players like the OP will only try a few times. I tried once, shot a 61 and missed 3 putts about 5 feet away, but in all fairness drained a couple of good putts, so I would not expect to do a great deal better. Will I try again? Probably not
If WGT wanted to really give lessor players an incentive, why not have a "B Grade" and "C Grade" mixed tier 4 round play off too - but with zero prizes? Sure no credits to win but would be an incentive for those who have no chance of qualifying for the real McCoy..
As for more tiers or tiers within averages, no thanks, as it is many RG's at TL take a lifetime to fill and just is an incentive for sandbaggers.
