That's why they're way better and we're not going to be competing in the VUSO. I also don't think a "solution" is needed as there's no problem to solve. Some people are better. That's life.

Fine for the virtual US Open.  But on the other hand, players of this caliber should not be allowed entry into everyday "Tierless" bracket events where they remain hidden until some unsuspecting sucker (like myself) takes the bait.

Imagine Adam Scott entering a local amateur event.  That is what we have now.

The average player will quickly figure out they are wasting their credits and stop entering.

To me, that's something that needs improvement.

Thats why there are tiered brackets. You'd be happy to enter a tierless bracket and be against a tier lower than you but when it's a tier higher it's not fair all of sudden.

Hey, 8802 ? Your picture ? Is that Nicklaus kissing his putter ? If it is, it's not an 8802 he is kissing but a Bristol Wizard.

If the Tournament is clearly marked as Tierless, then there's no excuses to be made. You mention the average players wasting their credits. That's exactly what they're doing of their own free will. They're asking to be cannon fodder for the top players who lunch on their credits. I suppose after being taken they'll figure it out for themselves. All goes back to my idea of game wagering being the problem here. The average players think they can beat the house. They're all wrong. The top players use up the average players like taking candy from babies so they can buy themselves GB's to take even more candy. A sucker is born every day and the top players find them and take their candy.

Neither!  He is lighting a smoke.  Excellent reference to the George Low putter he used by the way.  Few would know that - I'm impressed.  Bet you know what White Fang is too?

I do like SP suggestion of 10 strokes off the lead but you might have to limit the 2K prizes to top 150.

Thanks TR. I think it is a fair and real qualification measurement. It is one thing to play again & again & again to hit a number versus a single round X 4 days. Much can happen. As it stands, many simply don't even try anymore to qualify. Many would be thrilled enough, just to qualify. I don't know what the cut line is, I haven't looked. But if the lowest score is, say 52, then the cut should be at 62.

Of course. WGT should engage the 10 shot spread at once. It will make many players very happy and they will return to increased participation and even put up with the 30 second Lexus gig, at the start and at the turn. But, WGT is much too stubborn to do the obvious 'fixes' even when sensibility is required.

If the elite players are excluded from "everyday" events, it can only happen along with the opportunity for them to play for better prizes than they can earn in the current system.  Real world prizes.  Lots of them.  It would have to be a tier that nobody would even think of sandbagging to avoid.

Even the stragglers within this tier would need to earn at least as many credits as they do now, too.  This is like the top 200 on the PGA money list all making six figures last year.

Still, if you take out the top 50 or top 100 or whatever, you'll just wind up getting beat in the everyday events by the 2nd 50 or 100.  Where do you stop?

White Fang ? I don't know. It would be really cool if you had a picture of 0bama firing-up a Kool...or kissing his balls for good luck.
