Imaginary wall

  Just hit a Drive on #2, Par 5 at Kia, Dinged it with an R1, barely went 200 yards and hit some invisible wall and bounced backwards into the 40/50 in front of the sand. I have hit that same Drive, maybe 500 times, and never seen that result. Hard to convince me that this game hasn't gone to hell in a hand basket!

  I had similar experience yesterday at Congressional C.C. hole #18 when I shot from tee missed the ding to the right so ball went there but still landed first on fairway just on edge and bounced in to the direction of the  rough when I heard like it hit some invisible object because I did not see anything there and went back on fairway.

  So it had worked in my favor, but it was strange occurrence.

  CCC#18: invisible branch - had it save my drive, too.

  KIA#2: my guess is such invisible branch as well.

  I would buy that, but no tree within 30 yards of where tee shot was aimed!
