    Here is my take.

Fundamentally Alosso is correct, however the nitty gritty.

Time is money saying is very simplistic - it is actually your opportunity cost in economic terms.

And in terms of an hourly rate, it equates to slave labor. To put it into context, the "5 Views" equals 3.75 cents, of which I wonder how many people actually watch the videos? For me these paltry sums are pathetic.

For an advertiser to reap a benefit, then people would have to actually view the video. If they don't then their money is wasted - so to me it is stunning any advertiser puts a video on WGT.

And WGT owes no-one anything - it is the company providing the credits, in this case Live Gamer. I however believe WGT should make these companies accountable which certainly does not happen currently.

Finally I will say, if you earn any free credits it is a bonus and spare a thought to players outside of the US where often the only free credits are the 7 carousel view that you are complaining about. - no other free views, videos or surveys.

.It just bother's me a tad when someone  vent's their unhappiness rightfully so, And then gets jumped on buy another

Sorry to say,I have done that a time or two, without thinking

I personally don't give a *** about the "5 views"..  What I do want, is for these imbeciles to take down the link if they're not going to award the views. This has been going on all week and has been reported to both LG and WGT many times by many people.

As far as me or anyone else cutting them any slack because they provide us with the means to earn "free" credits..  I doubt very seriously if WGT would be as popular or successful if everyone had to pay out of pocket for all their balls, clubs, etc. It's a trade-off.. and one that works very well.

When the OP stated he wanted his money back, he chose the wrong words.. but his sentiment has been expressed in multiple threads this week. Nobody wants to click through these ads and not get compensated.

Take down the link, or fix it.

    Thanks for the explanations, Alanti.

Please allow me to disagree in one detail: It's not slave work. Slaves are forced to work for their living without any alternative to inhuman conditions, many examples available in past and presence. On the contrary, we DO have the choice of our free will, and I suppose that every gamer's basic needs are covered when they sit at a PC and play the game!

Of course, a deal is a deal - whose who promise credits should deliver. OTOH, I've yet to find a user's statement "I WATCH all these vids", so I wonder about the real worth of such occupation.

It's also important to me to be concious that we're not talking about money though they push this wrong impression. It's software licenses for entertainment, some are free, most have their price. "I want my money back!" is a demand far from any reality. No pun intended, but those who live on the "time is money" principle certainly would not waste their time with this crap (duFuss' wording).

ISH, don't talk about equal conditons - worth and distribution of these things vary widely around the world. Be informed that the vids had been taken down a while ago, and due to massive users' intervention they were re-installed, but compensation was halved. Plus, AFAIR, all "views" accounts had been cleared in the meantime.

Now, while I decided that the remaining time of my life is worth more than the meagre compensation given for vids and surveys, others may go that way. They know or learn about the conditions and have every opportunity to choose, yes or no!

And once they feel cheated without cheating from their side, there are two options:

Turn away or file a suit. Yes, I know that only the former option is realistic.

So what am I to think of you Alosso?

To Alanti, you offer a coherent statement explaning your views on the subject, but with me you are crass and offensively rude.

Am I not part of your clique...

    clique
    klēk,klik/
    noun
    noun: clique; plural noun: cliques
    1. a small group of people, with shared interests or other features in common, who spend time together and do not readily allow others to join them.

I'm a WGT member (unfortunately so are you), and can ask questions on the forums just like you can but WITHOUT the rudeness.

Excuse me if I appeared rude - never meant to be. Therefore, I plead not guilty, and you had no questions until now.

Mine is unanswered: Which of "your money" are you talking about?

I think I spend (in cash) about $50 a month and spend $?? per month on Maxx balls and other items. (I also "gift" alot in my CC). I believe about 50% of my WGT credits are from the views and other freebees for credits. If I spend time watching while I'm playing, I expect to receive the compesation offered.

    com·pen·sa·tion
    ˌkämpənˈsāSHən/
    noun
    noun: compensation...
something, typically money, awarded to someone as a recompense for loss, injury, or suffering...in my case, watching vids.

BUT  your intention WAS to be rude.  Possibly you thought your "NOT WORKING - get a job" comment was funny? To who? Me? No. To your Forum friends here on the boards? Maybe, but I doubt it.

    alosso:
    2) The pay for the vids is not money, it's but a revocable license on credits of no monetary value.

The ability to exchange credits for a $250 gift card, see the Elite collection in the Pro Shop, does indeed give monetary value to credits.

    DuFussMcGoo:

It's bad enough we have to watch this crap. At least give us the credits.

Yes. For a time a few weeks back, I would "Watch this video" and the "Views Earned Today" would go up by the correct amount. Then, last week, I watched a whole bunch (well I ran them while I played) and had no increase in "Views Earned Today".

I found that you could "CASH IN" about 100 Views for 75 WGT credits daily. Not a bad deal!
