  ok so let me get this straight . in the middle of a round you can walk to the pro shop and buy some balls. some how i don't think in the middle of a round people are going to wait for you to go too the pro shop.when you are playing social golf ya mate will throw you a ball if you run out. ok in money comps the rule should apply but just a usual round for giggles .. does not seem right. especially after your blls stolen buy your money hungry company

  See it from programming POV:

  The bag is closed during a game - no change of clubs. Here, the balls are part of the bag - no change of balls, too. As a courtesy to you and as a benefit to the company, you may buy "more of the same" but not add anything different.

  If you need an analogy, see the inventory as your garage - unavailable, and the cart girl only has your ball type available when she comes to you.

  Because there can only be 1 kind of ball in your bag, the ball you put in the little window at the top right of the equipment page.

  Those other balls in your inventory - are not in your bag. Think of them as being at home in your garage instead of them being with you on the golf course.

  There is also precedent in the Rules of Golf , Appendix I - Local Rules; Conditions of the Competition, Part C, 1., c., Limitation on Balls Used During Round: "One Ball" Condition.

  if this is true then when you lose or use up your last ball then you should be d/q.  you should not even be given a stock ball because you can only carry one type of ball into a game.  and if you lose it then you should be out of balls so where does the stock ball come from if you can only carry one type.  its an oxymoron

  I'm guessing the WGT response would be that the starter balls are always in your bag, not in your inventory.
