RegGrundy: Are you guys on crack? Interminably spouting on & on about
supposed player cheating… Deluded fools! It is WGT that cheats… the constant disconnections
for no reason, the inexplicable variability, the ridiculous upgrades that
no-one wants (*applause and environmental sounds spring instantly to mind) the
total lack of coherent game mechanics/ physics , the stupendous price charged
for a series of zeros & ones, disappearing start buttons , ditto swing
icons … the list is endless .
1st let me say, obviously, I was mistaken about this particular RG and my apologies for being so. That said, it wasn't helpful that WGT had more than the normal site issues going on at the time, which included a TM bracket round I never got to complete thanks to maintenance hitting at the 7th hole of my round.
But, I looked in all the obvious places 1st for the RG scores in question, including my scoring history with no luck. It seems the perfect storm of WGT site horrors raged for 2 days right over my profile, because I lost 300 credits in entry fees alone during that time, and I'm not including the RG I was mistaken on about the tier, or lack of one. I was, obviously, able to finish that one anyway.
I quoted Grundy because every word after the one exclamation mark is so very true. If the words b4 it were meant sarcastically I can't disagree with anything said. But, alt accounts are used in every game on the net, if there is money involved, and of this I am certain. And, my initial post being an error on my part has nothing to do with the fact that money is stolen on a daily basis here by criminals. I do not include WGT in that description, although it is obvious people do, and I would never disagree with them on it.
When you watch a crime take place, and do nothing to try and stop it, don't report it, deny it took place to others who saw it, you are an accomplice in that crime and just as guilty as the person who carried it out. As I said in my original post, I was more curious if others found the scores to be out of the norm than accusing anyone of cheating, including WGT. And, I found some of the replies to be interesting, others that showed a lack of the ability to reason deductively, one that clearly showed the opposite, and one that seemed way off-topic, as it referred to some sort of hijacking that took place somewhere.
As a whole, it is very clear that most players here know that alt account's are a serious problem, and one that often results in a player losing credits, which is called STEALING for those with WGT who don't seem to get that part of it yet. They most definitely are nowhere near as concerned about theft occurring on their site, as they are with placing some, fairly won, credits into an account of a person living in a state in America where the Gaming laws are 'vague'.
WGT your priorities are sorely misplaced and, unless it's addressed, this site will end up much worse off than the misguided business model that led it into the horrible, yet still salvageable, place it is in today. I honestly hope you do find your way out of this ever darkening hole, because it's obvious that people love the site, they just aren't thrilled with its constant display of no common sense, no sense of it being headed in a positive direction, and the fact that WGT has shown no sign or a desire to rid this place of dishonest players who steal money from other players every single day, and all day long.
The latter being, most likely, the easiest thing to greatly slow the occurrence of in a short time and get fast & positive results for the players and the site. Unfortunately, this also requires the presence of common sense at WGT. The same type of common sense that led me to log on about 12 hours after that maintenance interrupted my round at -4, hole 7, on BOP4's, TM Bracket, 18 hole, 100 credit entry fee, only to find a WD next to my name. The type of common sense that made me attempt logging on 5 different times that night to finish my round, but was rejected by the idiotic maintenance message we see so often.
And, it's the very same kind of common sense that made me decide to place a post about cheating, in a thread entitled 'new cheating'. No, alt's are not a new way to cheat but they are, by far, the most lucrative. That's just common sense.
