    PETERGEORGE1:
just a lot of players who have played 500 very good rounds.

Very much agree it plays zero to little bearing on how any one actually plays.  Everyone knows who the best are.

    PETERGEORGE1:
    500 round rolling average

Would solve nothing, and be just as silly.  CCs have been set up  with 1 owner also the 1 member banging grass of BPB F9, no intention of saturating this century as only their infrequent 25s get carded.  Why is my idle curiosity ?, lol.  Every time ya think you seem it all:).

    PETERGEORGE1:

I don't think its needed - takes ages for TL RGs to fill up and just as long for TL brackets, plus you are a shunned breed when trying to get an alt shot game going.

    +10!

Why on earth should a tier of 1,100 players be divided?

    PETERGEORGE1:

I would like to know who is actually asking for this?

    Look at page 1 - it's the new enterta^Wmod.

    CerinoDevoti:
another Tier would do exactly that. Create another yet smaller pool of high class members. I have no idea what for, if it would be any more fun for them, or if it's necessary to keep them away from the second best. Ask WGT, it's their idea that's being debated.
Now we are two, but will we get answers?

    CerinoDevoti:
One other thing is you're looking at their averages already in TL. I'm talking about a Legend average to get to TL.
Correct, and I didn't judge the difficulties so divergent.

Alas, the numbers speak for themselves. If TL were more difficult, it would contain less players, but below 1,100 (their current number) any tier is small, regardless of 400 or 800 members.

And, for me it's academic. My scores are closer to 36 than to 29. One 30 this week IIRC. I'm gonna hand this Legend account down to my sons eventually ;)

The goal would be to separate out the divergent skill levels of players currently in the TL tier.  Tiers are always meant to represent skill level so you can find like skilled players in your tier.

Honestly, I don't get the logic of this thinking.

Dividing 1,100 TL players would make it more difficult to find players of same skill level, and it would consequently demand to multi-part 10,000(?) Legends. When would this happen?

And, aren't the skills of lower tiers much more divergent? Will we get 100 tiers eventually?

So what about all the other tiers then? there are certainly gulfs in skill level across all tiers! so why single out the TL tier? I personally feel there is no need to create a level above TL.It is upto the rest of the same tier to improve there game in order to compete, but by the same token you have to realise players have different goals on this game, some want to be the best, some just want to play for fun.

but as in all walks of life there will always be people who are better than the rest.I do think Dazza's suggestion has some merit,as this will give the Elite players another challenge which WGT could put in place, without resorting to creating yet another Tier.

Boy, is this answer gonna get me in trouble. Tiers, to me, are meaningless. They are inaccurate from the day you join. After you play a certain number of rounds, "Bad" rounds don't count against your scoring average. I, Legend, with a 65.65 average. Not so. It says Legend, because that's the criteria wgt sets. But when the criteria is not really kosher, what difference does it make. I have personally charted every round I've played. All 1700+, and my scoring average is 69.91. A scoring average in the 50's. A laugh riot.

Add new names but as long as the criteria is full of baloney........why bother. We know who is great, good, so-so. It really doesn't matter!

1st full day playing for a long time and.....

Already 2 TL's rocked up that I knew as Legends not long ago and TBH they couldn't hold a candle back in their tier !

When there was 300 / 400 TL's it was TIGHT , u knew u were going to be tested o test.

Now ??  dumbed down already by ppl who go up and down Beth  and St As ( a bit like one of our first responders to this thread, in CC on whatever greens she decides )

So....no need for a new tier, just higher criteria to enter this one..

But that ship has sailed it seems WGT, so over to you and the feedback ?

    Welcome back Alcaucin

What you are describing is the issue, and we are looking to address it for all tiers but TL is the most troublesome with the greatest disparity.
