Whatever new equipment L100 is already too high a level, UNLESS that new tier happens and allows the pro shop just to open for genuine players'

Loads threads on that where I have voiced my opinions how it should work..

Clearly by L90 a bit of understanding (or whatever the else the multis use) the equipment is ample to clean up.

Some of the the leader boards at the moment are frankly a disgrace, and so also attest to L90 being plenty game play wise.

I get the carrot dangling model, but on it's own it's broken by L93 at the outside.  The talented, genuinely keen one account keen player needs to be encouraged.

WGT fail terribly in doing this, with a dead in the water model past L95 (easily TOPS), and need to get more inventive getting players burning balls.

Absolutely not. The punch is fine exactly the way it is, has been for over 5 years.

YankeeJim, looks like we disagree here. I do agree that the punch is not bad and could be worse, but the more I hear about wgt going for more of the reality aspect of the game, the more I think it needs to be tweaked some to become closer to how a real punch shot plays.

First of all, a punch shot, if hit properly, should not get very high as many do here. A punch is used, most often, to get out of trouble spots like off the FW among trees. When it's hit right, it's almost like a line-drive in baseball. A straight, low shot with a lot of top spin and roll. They do roll here, but at times I find myself with a shot I know a true punch could make, but with the height they get here some shots that should be possible to make just are not.

So, I guess I only half disagree with you here. And, truth be told, it isn't often I get in the situation where keeping the ball very low is needed. At least not like I used to.

How about we make a deal? I'll give up on the punch shot if wgt will make a shot available that can hit out of brush. It's so sad when one shot in the brush turns into 3 more from the brush and there goes your round. I'm not asking to be able to hit the ball 175 yards and land it a foot from the pin, but just let me hit it 100 yards forward, at the very least.

I would like to see weather changeable conditions/sessions

    wet weather

dry weather what we have now

    Misty foggy weather

Now, I love this idea. They could even lose their beloved VEM if rain was added and also affected the greens as it should etc. I'll take this one over changing the punch, but not over more Ping wedges. : )

Maybe when you've finished cutting your teeth here and have a few thousand more rounds under your belt. 620 with under 50% sand and scrambling saves just doesn't cut it. Sorry.

Not sure from what brush you'd need 3 shots to get out of, unless you're using irons. Never use a longer club than the longest wedge and you should get out in 1. Even the PW will carry less than my 100y CG out of the brush. Kind of missing your answer in the other thread though ;-)

While I agree that the punch shot doesn't replicate what we see in the real world it is a fantastic shot once you learn to use it.  The ATV wedges punch brilliantly, it really is like having an extra set of wedges in your bag.  The PW with the L97 Nike irons works almost as well.  I very rarely, if ever, punch anything longer though.

If you have to keep the ball under tree branches try using a punched 4 iron, it stays pretty low and will get you a decent distance so long as you don't try to clear too much rough before the ball can land on the fairway.

Aaah, smug mode activated.   61.92% and 68.90% here.  I'd like to get scramling to over 70% but anything over 50% for sand saves will do me.  I'm amazed it's over 60% to be honest.
