Strange Noise

  Hello WGT,

  I'd like to report a strange noise I heard today while playing a Blitz match on Kiawah. It was kinda like thump, thump, thump ! Which I find particularly hard to believe ever since you've frozen my distance to pin average @ 19'( incidentally it was 17' a few years ago ). So, I'm sure you can understand my concern , perhaps you could freeze my distance to pin average in ctth / blitz games also, as it gets rather confusing trying to figure out why ctth / blitz plays one way, and stroke plays completely different. Mods? Anyone? YankeeJim"

  LOL. Can't help ya there, Doc. Blitz bores the crap outta me, CTTHs are for mapping clubs and I know about that thump business only because of reading about it here-never heard it.

  Taking a WAG at it, I'd say VEM probably works in diminished capacity in those formats simply because they don't affect your stats and would probably ruin the experience. What do I know?  ;-)

  I too have heard strange noises lately. Happens when I hit any club - sounds a bit like "ding". Never had this before - any ideas?
